@186cheng yes they did marry. It was originally a plot to draw Liu Bei into Wu unarmed and then they could kill him. But they ended up falling in love instead. But when Yi Ling came around, instead of what happened in this video Shang Xiang went back to her family, as she was ordered to by Sun Quan. The marriage was cut. When Liu Bei's death reached Shang Xiang's ears, she flung herself into a river. At least that is what I've read.

Sun Quan is pronounced soon qwan in dynasty warriors. In the film Red Cliff (which I purchased the two disc special edition DVD from Asda) it seems to be pronounced soon chwan in that film. Does anyone know if this is the correct pronounciation? I also suspect that the Dong in Dong Zhuo is also pronounced incorrectly as well as the Zhong in Huang Zhong. Why don't the american voice actors actually learn to speak mandarin? Still is was was funny when they used to pronouce Cao Cao as Cow Cow lol!

Sun Shang Xiang is my favorite character (along with Zhen Ji and Xing Cai). I really like all her cutscenes. She remained loyal to Liu Bei, her love, even when she knows she's gonna kill her own brother. These cutscenes remind me of Romeo and Juliet.

I love SSX in all the games, even though I wish she would have stayed a little more mature. Though, after watching this, I remember why I never bought the game. The orginal story of the Three Kingdoms is rather lost in this game. After reading The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, I gained more respect for the actual events and personalities of the characters, and the way DW4 and DW5 stayed with that, then DW6 comes out and it all seems to go out the window. None of the Kingdoms. First Shu dissapeared after Liu Shan agreed to join with Wei, then Wei become kinda a dynasty again. After Sun Quan and Lu Xun died, the kingdom of Wu fall because of Quan´s sons. After some time, the people from the north become an empire and after hundred of years finally took Wu and reunited China in a new Dynasty.

If you read a little about Shang Xiang´s bio, you can find by yourself... she wasn´t called "Princess Bow" for nothing, you know... and NO, SHE NEVER WENT INTO BATTLE. The first woman who was into battle in the history of China was Fa Mulan, and it was because she disguised herself as a man and no one in the army ever knew she was a coman until they found her dead body in the battlefield.
