  • Do you know where I can get the ebook for free?

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @quentinreynoso whats so funny?

  • first-he did not come up with the title of 'darth', he simply just re-enstated it

second- its one of me favorit books, i own all 3 in the searias.

third- there was darth reven befor him and many others.

  • it was cool

  • I have read the whole trilogy and its awesome!

I like the third most and i thing Darth Cognus is awesome!

Good that you told us you where wrong about the Darth title also!

    Comment back :D

  • Two there should be;

    no more, no less.

A master to embody the power,

and an apprentice to crave it.

    -Darth Bane

  • Respond to this video... the 3rd book is called darth bane dynasty of evil

  • Yeah, I could not put 'Path of destruction' down for a second. I didn't care for 'Rule of two' as much as the first book (although it was pushed out way too fast). I was overwhelmed by how awesome the final book ('Dynasty of evil') was though, it was an amazing ending. I think the series is a must read for any Star Wars fan.

  • The Rule of Two is the best one. Bane is a fucking god with that armor on. But the third one is very good too.

  • dynasty of evil is the third book

  • im in page 110 and i started reading it like yesturday haha its pretty alright so far but i have a feeling its gonna be better. I wanna see how he gets rid of all the sith

  • 1st: Path of Destruction

    2nd: Rule of Two

3rd: Dynasty of Evil (the best one)

  • the book was great i just finished it 2day i cant wait 2 read the other 2 that being said darth bane is an ass and i hope he dies a horrible death in the last book=P

  • i loved that book it was awsomei felt like i could be him lol one of the best siths ever

  • readings 4 nerds.

  • Noo now the ritual of effort transfer is lost to the sith you should have passed that shit down before you died lol

  • iLOVE this f555555 !!!!!!!!!

  • I'm about one thirds into the book and it's pretty awesome so far.

  • Darth Bane reimplemented the title Darth after its use had been stopped by lord kaan. Kaan believed its use created envy and thus treachery that barred unity of the sith. Bane however believed kaan's ideas of unity to weaken the sith because it allowed the weak to rise to power in the sith. So Bane reimplemented the title for himself before he implemented the rule of two.

  • The first book is "Path of destruction."

The Second book is "Rule of Two."

The Third is "Dynasty of Evil."

    They are great books.

  • I just bought it today.

  • u r wrong about the hole darth thing

  • Whats the actual order of the books so it makes sense when i buy it?

  • @bpbusstop Path of Destruction then Rule of Two. I don't know the name of the third nook that came out recently.

  • @fortisKID Dynasty of Evil

  • @fortisKID

the third one is dinasty of evil

  • @fortisKID dynasty of evil

  • @bpbusstop

Path of Destruction, Rule of Two and Dynasty of Evil :D

  • awesome book, but dynasty of evil is better. it would be interesting to see path of destruction turned into a movie but the idea of a sith academy is ludicrous. cutthroat kids training to be sith in the boarding school from hell is a little far-fetched. as is bane's relationship with ghitany. she changes sides so many times, why the hell would bane kiss her and get poisoned from it?

  • @SchizoKnight12 I still think this one is better actually. And what's so ludicrous about a sith academy? Made sense to me, they had one in KOTOR also...not that strange. Bane's relationship with Githany was spurred by 2 things. A search for a potential apprentice, and she's described as being really hot. He had 2 reasons for being attracted to her. that's why he kissed her. He also expected poison, just not the one she used.

  • I've read the first two, and they're some of the most underrated EU books, in my opinion. They give probably the most in-depth look at the dark side so far, while exploring a time in history that has been largely neglected. Of course, they were written by one of the writers for the KOTOR games, so that definitely explains a lot.

  • These 3 books are very good, other good SW books are the Thrawn Trilogy and the Last of the Jedi Jud Watson, not happy that they killed him off though

  • @Ipolan26

yeah, I know what you mean but a part of him remained within Zannah, so who's to say he can't come back some day. Look at the game Jedi Academy, it brought back Marka Ragnos who was dead for thousands of years. Also there's the whole force ghost thing that happens in starwars so if somebody ever wanted to bring him back as a character they could easily do that. That's a comforting thought i think.

  • while i agree that this is an amazing book (as are the others in the bane series), my all time favorite star wars book has to be I, Jedi

  • I really enjoyed the first book and am currently part way through Rule of Two. Bane is quickly becoming one of my all time favourite anti-heroes

  • I totally agree with you sir, that is THE BEST Star Wars book ever written...which says a lot. There are many good ones.

All the characters are incredible, with Bane being far and beyond. He is the preeminent anti-hero, and an incredibly faceted character. He is awesome. The fights are described in grand detail, and the plot development is unheralded.

This is honestly my favorite book.

  • There are three books by now, all awesome! Personaly I find the two first one slightly better than the third but basicly if you are a Starwars fan, this is the best you can get so far in exploring the story of the Sith and getting background knowledge of how Sidious works! All in the books! Sidious still follows the rules that Bane set up!

  • thanks jay i read it and everything you said was right. 5/5

  • You´re right dude!!! BEST BOOK EVER!! But I red it in german, so it might be worse then in english! But I think it´s the best book, too!

Do you already have the third part?? It wanted to come out in the 8.December 2009, but I have to wait for the german translation!

  • im reading right now im kinda slow tho

  • The first two books were great I liked the 3rd as well but for some reason I felt the auther rushed it a bit. still good waiting to see what happens next after THAT ending-good ending left alot of possibillitys for LOTS of more books-/ideas. The Darth title was invented before the new sith wars by Darth Rivin + Darth Ruin to seperate themselfs/+/beliefs from the Dark Jedi who studied both sides of the Force Whom are like Rouge Vagabonds-Like the Dark Jedi in Dynasty of Evil Thank You

  • i thought the first 2 book were rly good im just starting the 3rd one. but ur right it is good. and im pretty sure the title darth never went OUT of use. Only the stronger siths had the title.

  • Comment removed

  • i've read both the 1st and 2nd but the only places that have the 3rd are like books a million and its about 27 dollars sooo ya i'll be waiting a little lol

  • i got the third book and it was friggen epic it will have you guessing who will righen supreme till the very last chapter

  • OMG yea i friggin loved it man! it was very good xD

  • Great book, both actually. I want number 3

  • i agree its a very good star wars book. you might wanna check out the graphic novel "jedi vs sith". it's about rain and how bane finds her. it's a good fit inbetween path of destruction and rule of two.

also, darth bane: dynasty of evil is schedule to come out this december, should be good!!

  • Comment removed

  • great book. i "forgive" your mistake;):P heheh

  • no darth malak and revan were before bane so some one thousands of years ago thought of darth

  • i loved darth bane path of destruction, im starting rule of two today. but bane didn't come up with the title " Darth" he just reintegrated it, bringing it back from his sith ancestors like darth revan, who died 3000 years before

  • you are the millionth person to tell me that, please read the info before u comment.

  • great vid dude one of the best books of all time so much better than movies

  • ok ppl i am trying to read all the satr wars books ( only that involve jedi and stuff no x wings or nothinglike that) form beigigning starting with sith era till new jedi order... could some one please give me the names of the books in choronoligicla order.... it would be highly apreciated...

  • actually darth was used before him and so was the rule of two he just adopted the style.

i thought the book was great though. can't wait for the third one

  • after i saw this video i did read both of them :P

OMG u were so right its sooo good :)

    pumped for the next one

  • Honestly i agree with you 100%. Greatest Star Wars books ever written.

  • i just got finished reading it 2 hous ago, IT WAZ AWESOME!!! i can't wait to buy the 2nd!

  • i really liked the books. i can't wait for the sequel. 10 bucks zannah kills bane

  • just thorwing in my two cents here, even tho Bane is credited for coming up with the rule of two he actualy got the idea from Lord Revan...but your right its an amazing book i cant wait for the third book

  • There'a another Darth Bane book coming out december '09. It's going to be called

"Dynasty Of Evil"! I can't wait.

  • he did not come up with the title "darth". read it again, he noticed none of the other sith used it anymore and he wanted the sith to start using it again

  • Read the info dumbass.

  • Jesus Christ jondoethegreat, you are retarded, READ THE COMMENT

  • holy shit, i forgot to read the description before commenting, i guess i should just be publicly executed. chill out faggot, it's not like my comment was wrong or anything, it's just a book review, nothing to get all pissy about

  • indeed, you should be publicly executed, i'm glad you realize it yourself.

  • I'm half way through and I must say this book is awesome! Darth Bane makes me appreciate Darth Sideous all the more!

  • this is the only book ive ever finished in less than 3 days, its that good, i bought the 2nd yesterday and im half way through it, its extremely good.

  • I just started reading It and Im reading 2-3 chapters every morning before bed

  • i like the part where this guy named bane took a shit in the locker room

  • He didn't come up with the title man. He just re used it from the olds times REMEMBER HE READ IT IN THE FAG SITH LIBARY THING... Get your damn story str8.

  • Omg you fucking idiot. Read the info before you comment!!!! i'm getting tired of this.

  • Or at least look at the annotation i put in the video, OR THE COMMENT RIGHT BELOW YOURS!

  • hey, Darth Bane did NOT create the title Darth, or that there would only be 2, a master and an apprentice! Both of those were created by Darth Revan 3000 years before Darth Bane. Bane only reintroduced them to the sith. Get your Star Wars history straight!!!

  • he did not create the title darth, it says on the description........

but he did create the rule of 2, i'm positive

  • Yeah really man, read the info before u comment.

  • ChuckDuke1,

Darth Revan did not come up with the rule of two, Darth Bane just came up with the idea after he was taught by Revan's holocron. But Revan did not make the rule of 2.

Also the Darth title had been used long before Revan's time. Darth Bane just brought it back into use.

Obviously you don't know much about star wars.

  • well to be fair revan didnt officaly make the rule but darth bane would have never have gotten the idea without revan

  • Spartan,

its good to see someone that actually knows a thing or two about star wars. Although i already said the same thing u said in my reply to chuckduke.

  • Yo!

  • Best Star Wars book period! But Darth Bane didn't come up with the Darth title. He merely put it back into practice. Lord Kaan had taken it out of practice to stop the infighting among the sith. Darth Revan had come up with the Darth title. Darth Bane is my second favorite sith lord next to NagaSadow.

  • um no Darth Andeddu came up with the title if you look in jedi vs sith essential guide it says so

  • *sigh* READ THE INFO SPARTAN :D

  • darth THidious

  • i agree best book ever written!

  • Best Star Wars Book

  • Comment removed

  • okay, i finished the 2nd book, i want the 3rd one :( when is it comin out? both books are fucking great! each has their ups and downs but i personally prefer the 2nd one :)

  • i read the book and i fully agree with your comment and evaluation ! Its a very good book and i'd live very much to read more about Darth Bane from this author. Do you know if there is a seccond part ?

  • yes, there is a second book called darth bane: rule of two.

  • Cool , thank you !

  • if you ask me, the story line in the first one is much more exciting, but the second one is amazing.... both of them are my #1 favorite star wars book (i've read a lot) and Darth Bane is by far my favorite character.... i also heard a 3rd one is coming out this December and that Drew Karpyshan or something like that is trying to get legal rights and time to write books about all the sith lords up to Sidious.....i hope he does

  • best book ever written. I can't wait for dynasty of evil to come out.

  • The books are amazing slightly better than the Republic Commando series, well actually alot better. On the last quarter of Rule of Two

  • The "Darth" Title that the Sith carried after the destruction of the Brotherhood of Darkness was not created by Darth Bane, he did use the title, however the first known users of the "Darth" Title were Revan and Malak, during the Jedi Civil War.

  • darth bane didn't really come up with the title "darth" it was used by lots of sith before him( except for people in the brother hood of evil), he just made it popular to use it again.I f u actually read the book you'd know..... p.s the book rox

  • i loved these books!!!

  • I LOVE THEM!!!!!!

  • Shadows of the Empire; Darth Bane and its sequel' path to destruction'; tales of the bounty hunters.........

Drew Karpyshyn has written 2 great star wars book, hope he is doing the 3rd.

But what more can Darth Bane do?

  • Check out my video on Darth Bane Dynasty of Evil. It's just a picture of the cover but it links to wookiepedia

  • i looked at drew Karpyshyn site an he making a 3rd 1 i can't wait

  • I finished up path of DESTRUCTION today about to start on the rule of two tonight, I am enjoying these books alot. I still find Darth Vader to be just a bit more interesting read and once I finish rule of two I think I am going to read Force Unleashed. I am a fan of the Dark Side so any Darth books are great to me, I am currently waiting on a Darth Reven & Malak book (non comic) Also would like to see some Naga, Ajunta & Markos style novels arise.

  • yeah man this is the best book!!!! at last there is a Dark side story, the true nature of it, the base to understand the Dark side.

  • I just picked up a copy of the book and am already almost done with it. Great book...I can't wait to read Rule of Two.

  • Best book ive ever read.

  • You have your facts wrong, Bane didnt make the title Darth, he put it back to use <_< He got the title Darth while in the archives when he read about Darth Revan -_- but yes the books is awesome, im at the part where bane goes to the valley of the sith lords... So far its getting better, you just need to hang in there the first 3-4 chapters xP a MUST READ for Star Wars fans tho ;) if your a sith lover ;D

  • if you had read the info you would have seen that i already pointed out my mistake, i even put an annotation in the video that says "dont comment without reading the info"!

  • my bad i turn off those pop up things on videos xP

    ^^ still an awesome book!!!

  • Look dude I've read the second book and I'm starting the first (due to difficalty finding it not to follow the pattern of the movies). They are deffenatly, not only the best Star Wars books, but the best books ever written. But here's where your wrong Darth Bane did come up with the title Darth, but the Idea for the Rule of Two started with the first Sith. In the Book: Rule of Two, Darth Bane explains that he was bringing back the theory of Two rulers, one master, one apprentace.

  • couldn't agree more

the best starwars book ever written...

  • yes it is the best book writen ever. i red the book in three days and the one i read we the hard cover version and it took me three days to read it and it is 325 pages long and that is the first book i have read out of pleasur. o and i think i shit my pants when you said there was a sequil XD XD XD XD XD

read the boo it is the BEST

  • god i remeber when des bit gerds thumb off but im not done with the book yet but it pwns

  • Oh, and on a last note, I'd probably have to give it to Zannah for being more of a true Sith than any other sith that existed. She was just down right fucked up of a person that would betray anyone at any moment's notice! lol

  • But, in anycase, I liked Path of Destruction a bit better than the rule of two, since I was always curious about the great battle on Russan and how Kaan a hold of the power of the thought bomb. Rule of two felt like a good solid sequal as it should of, beside having Bane being invincable thanks to the Orbalisks all the time which was kinda gay, but understandable I guess.

  • Well, after reading both books, I'd give the author pretty good credit for a job well done. There is a third book coming out in december of 2009 called Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil. Basically that will be the book when...well, I dont wanna give away any spoilers to anyone that doesnt know the characters, but pretty much its the showdown between two characters that reader's wanna check out after reading both of the previous books.

  • Comment removed

  • path of destruction was really good, the rule of two was also good. I never read any star wars stuff before this but they were both so well written i had to get into it lol.

plus i had an easy senior english class that let us read stuff like this i even wrote a song and recorded it for the final, bout a lil bit of the beginning of rule of two.

  • wow, I wish I would receive a grade for a reading a book like this, I read it during the summer lol.

  • yeeeaaa it was coo, the class was called reading of the fantastic hahaha all we did was read this, and stuff like lies of locke lamora and crack jokes bout everyone.

they even counted it as an honors class haha

  • Comment removed

  • I wouldn't say best because that doesn't do the justice of recognizing the amazing innovation GL made in creating Star Wars universe.

Also Bane did not create the Darth title, in path of destruction that is explained

Howev it is absolutely awesome and the author pretty much has been the greatest thing since hyperspace drive was invented

  • Yeah, these books were awesome. I'm re-reading Path of Destruction right now.

  • Awesome. ****ing. Book. lol

  • Best Star Wars book i have ever read!!!!

  • 2 great books, and i loved the ending of the 2nd one. Darth bane didnt come up with the Darth title, he learned them from the holocrons he was seeking out.

  • Bah! Read the info please :O

  • at the gethany intro

  • lispssshshsshshshshs

    at least book was good

  • I read it a couple days ago.

Best book i've read in a long time.

  • Read the order of 2 Better then the first:)

  • Hey man, I totally agree with you that they were both very good books, however, when you said that he came up with the "Darth" title, he didnt

there were lords before him that used it, Darth Revan for example, and Darth Nihilus

So he more re-institutionalized the use of the "Darth" title.

  • just got it 2day!

  • Bought both Path of Destruction and Rule of two 3 days ago. Finished Path of destruction tonight and wow..book was amazing. I hope rule of two is just as good, I loved the transformation of Dessel into Darth Bane.

  • Both darth bane books were SO awesome, i totally love the ending of the second one

  • i agree it was a great book what i liked about it the most is how he went from innocent to evil it was very good story i finished it in five days and darth bane was the sith badass that darth vader could not be plus i loved how he killed everything in his path like a said its a realy good book

  • i read this, and IT WAS DEFINITELY the BEST star wars book written...it was truly amazing because there is a huge fascination with how fast Bane learns the powers of the dark side, and surpasses all the other sith lords and their inferior teachings. I also read the rule of 2, which was good, but wasnt as addictive as the first seeing that Bane just never stopped getting stronger and acquiring new talents. But yes, this video is legit in saying the book is great. I cant wait for the 3rd book.....

  • I do agree with you, fortisKid, and this is someone who absolutely loathes all EUs, although I have read the Timothy Zahn sagas but there's something more to this author's approach.

  • i read it its amazing

  • 1) You guys knew what he was talking about when he said Bane started the rule of two and the Darth title so shut up.

    2) I agree it is the best book EVER WRITTEN! The sequal is also amazing. I cant decide which was better. I like the duals and the involvement of the jedi more in the sequal but the stuff with Darth Zannah seemed boring to me, at least compared to the rest of the book. I cant wait for the third book which should be out in a few months.

  • Hey asshole fuck off eh. If we knew what he was talking about do u think we would of commented?

  • You make no sense you can go die now faggot.

  • Hey asshole fuck off eh."you can go die now"

    lameass

  • Ok eh. You were right eh. Im sorry for my lameness eh. Your the best eh. An all the comments on your page truly show that you are loved on youtube eh.

  • Oh shit i'm not loved on youtube. shit that ruined my day. lameass

  • ps. fuck off eh

  • lameass

  • eh?

  • what? you out of ammo already eh?

    i done with your lameass.

  • ps fuck the fuck off eh.

  • Darth Bane did not come up with the rule of two (master and apprentice). He brought the rule back because of the sith rules set on the ancient Holocron he found of Revan in the temple on the planet of Lehon. Revan said it would be foolish to have more than one apprentice as they would be impossible to control.

  • no he did create it because they said that the sith lords would have like three apprentices and would overthrow the master and get mad and into fights and stuff but revan just SUGGESTED the rule of two he never actually enforce it

  • I guess ur right. It depends on what u mean by created it. Revan was the firstto suggest so techically he created it. Bane just took it and enforced it.

  • i was reading yer info.

well at least u figured out that he wasnt the one who started "darth" cuz revan was darth revan. so yea

  • Do you know when the third one comes out bud

  • this book was awesome im on number 2, oh btw when u said he made the rule that their can only be 2 sith you are incorrect, if you remember correctly he learned that from the Darth Ravan holocron he found on lehon

  • uhh dude, after darth bane he made it so there could be only 2 sith, i am correct.

  • maby i went about typing that wrong

Darth Bane did make it so there can only be 2 sith but he got the "idea" so to speak, from Darth Raven. or it might have been from all his readings, cant remember exactly

  • that is a little better, but darth bane was the first person to make a rule for there to be only 2 sith, he came up with the idea after Studying the sith teachings for a long time, he figured out that Lord Kaan's ideas were not right and he devised a plan that he thought would work better for the sith. But Darth Revan did not have a rule even close to that, it did not say specifically what Darth Revans holocron had taught him.

  • Great book. A much needed filler in the Star Wars saga. You don't know where you are until you know where you've been. Darth Bane did not invent the title "Darth" but only brought it back from dormancy.

  • yes I'm aware of that, read the info please :)

  • hell yea man, POD and rule of two are badass, but bane didnt come up with the idea rule of two or darth, the brotherhood didnt allow darth because it shows more power then what they call eachother (which is lord qordis n whatever.) also the rule of two was before bane with darth revan and malak, bane realized the brotherhood was full of retards, so he tricked kaan into using the thought bomb,n they got fucked...

anyways good review though i loved the books :D get rule of two if u havent yet :D

  • Apart from a fickle regard for Timothy Zahn's take on the Star Wars universe, I REALLY detest anything of the EUs (PEEYEWS for me), HOWEVER, this Darth Bane by Karpashyn, for some reason, seems more 'grounded' than any of those which is why I'm waiting for the third story arc. Very intriguing maybe because George did come up with that name early in his idea for SW now after all the revelations of the prequels a certain approach to the story of this Sith may be approached.

  • I read this book between August and September. Is an exelent book. I am just waiting for RoT to be published on paperback (October 28, 2008. I heard that Drew is writting a third Darth Bane Book, so I am anxious for this too.

  • This was a good book I just finished reading it a second time. It reminds me of the story of Anakin. a nobody stuck on a isolated planet becoming the chosen one and watches/causes the ruin of the order

  • He didnt come up with the title Darth... He merely brought it back into use.. The title Darth is used among the sith.. Its basically saying .. Hey im a bad ass and im on top.. and when saying that on the sith side, other sith lords want to put you in your place... so its this whole rivalry thing. and Lord Kaan made it so it wouldnt be used to so Equality amongst the sith,, intern creating its downfall. Thus Bane Brings it back to show the true way of the Sith.. "Darth Bane"

  • yes, i already pointed out my mistake (check video info) :) thanks for the comment anyway, very well said.

  • sorry man.. lol damn like most fools i forget to check that...

  • best books ever!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have read over 40 Star Wars books from all time periods and Path of Destruction is my all time favorite.

I am also a little over half way through Rule of Two and it is incredible as well. I will comment again once I finish to give a final verdict.

But I am in agreement Path of Destruction is the most incredible book out of entire expanded universe. Bane is quickly becoming my favorite Sith and I really hope he gets some kind of interpretation on television or even a video game.

  • Bane didn't invent the title Darth.

    Just kidding.

Seriously, though, Darth Bane and this book are the shit. Since the author also played a major part in the story of the ass-kicking Darth Revan, I vote we ALL FALL DOWN AND WORSHIP HIM!!

  • This book was freakin' awesome. I read it, and, oh my goodnes. The beginning was helpful, though, in how he went to the dark side in the first place. And everyone else just drove him deeper until he's the only one left, until he found that little girl. I have read the sequel, but I will one day.

  • that was the best book i have ever read

  • ur a fucking dumbass. read the book before you give a review. Bane didnt come up with the title darth...................bitch

  • I'm the Dumbass? At least I read the description before i comment on a video.

  • Yes you are. At least i read a book before i make a review.

  • Is that all you can come up with, whatever im blocking you.

  • i'm back bitch... ur a crotch faced finch fucker. go blow ur dad with your bitch-ass lisp. and im so sorry to hear from your mother that you will die a virgin.

  • dude shut hup and leave this dude alone he just tryin to let evryone know its a kickass book and ill be sorry to tell your mom that her kids gonna die a sex slave to michael jackson

  • damn dude u really told me.

ill never do it ever again.

    hahah ur a fucking faggot
