My description of this water slide is.. you lean back drop and 1 second later ur at the bottom..its so vertical that when u take off u go so fast it feels like ur insides stayed at the top (great feeling nothing to be scared of actually) and it feels liek ur body is sliding down empty inside of it...by the time u realize this ur already like halfway down..u kinda lose ur breath during that too u only catch it back halfway down..then u get like one second to realize where ur at loll its great

I rode this, and Slush Gusher, twice each during one fine day this past January. It does seem to take longer to go down the Plummet slide than the video shows. You are simply dominated by pure speed and gravity, is all I can say. And the brief ride you get off the slide on Slush Gusher is quite a rush. Also: the view! One of the best at WDW, I'd say.

This ride is AWESOME!! The video really doesn't do it justice. I rode this ride about 6 times in 1 afternoon and had to stop cuz i was getting bruises on my calves. But dammit, it was a RUSH! Watch out for Slusher Gusher next door. I caught about 4' of air on the 3rd 90 degree angle and came back down on the slide hoping I didnt break anything. I was good to go and went back to Plummet....don't look JUST DO IT!!!

I'm 5'9" about 130 and i was clocked at 59 mph..dude when you go off the ledge...you don't touch the slide on the way down..no kidding..you feel air along your back...it's badass, just watch slusher gusher next door. that third bend almost knocked me for aloop Have fun!!

But this is not a pure free fall, therefor weight does matter.

Think about the other kind of water ride where you can be all from 2-8 people(Most I've seen) on rows sliding down. It's not a free fall, and far from everyone goes equal. Often some guys are the fastest and some the slowest.

Depending on technique, weight and your beginning speed.

partly true. acceleration due to gravity is the same on ALL objects here on Earth. The slide is not completely vertical, so there are forces acting in the x and y directions. That includes the force of friction, which a larger person would have more friction, but the difference here is the initial velocity of the rider. A stronger person could have larger initial velocity due to more applied force down the ramp. I know this is true - i'm in principles of physics II right now.
