I depends how your perspective is. This is is the first version of the song I heard (slowed down). I only heard the faster version only recently. In Long Island (where I'm originally from) they played this version many times on WLIR. From a purist standard, it's a good view of the Smiths as Johnny Marr's band: the guitars are much deeper ( I think they add more guitars in this version, or does it seem that way?)The sped up way is the Smiths as Morrissey's band- the vocals seem more sharper.
