  • Can a corshair h100 work with this case

  • Me and my buddies are actually using that case to build our rig. if by some miracle it gets finished anytime soon, we're gonna christen it by smashing a champagne bottle over it

  • ive bought this case am very hapy about it but the tooles pci slots ar just waste they all broke off for me ...

  • @Dowidux96

I found the same thing with the 5 1/4 bay clips in my Thermaltake Suprano case. The quick release tabs are a good idea, they just need to make them a bit sturdier.

I'll probably still end up getting one of these Amor+ cases for my new build. :-)

  • "i can hold a basketball with my hand" looks like someone is feeling sad about being short

  • awsum case but the HDD light isnt very bright at all but still works well at night buts its just not bright at all

  • Thermaltake Element T is better.

    /Fact

  • im getting a HUMMER ATX case tomorrow :D only for £65 with a 700w psu

  • the fan on the window is 200mm i believe, the 230mm is only on the armor+

  • 6:51 SWASTIKA LOL

  • amazing case, with my geforce gtx470, 480 was not available in the market and neither the gtx 295. but i think the cooling of this case is not sufficient but i dont get any problem due to the high temperature at the back of the case, instead when my pc gets hotter the better is the graphics n its performance. i love my armor mx.

  • I have a 3-way SLI and over 1200 w, 2 x 1TB black seagates, blueray blah blah, its an excellent case yet the only fusy thing about it is that its flimsy, and some inside plastic parts may break, but they're easily replacable

  • will the tower case that i have for my computer is crap now, i was looking through some cases in frys.com i wondering what cases will be good, im trying to upgrade the computer that i have already over time starting with the case, does it matter on the case that im buying for it....please comment back

  • The sidepanel looks like the Thermaltake Soprano

  • I'm currently using it's bigger brother, the VH6000BWS, an amazing peice of kit, would recommend it to any system builder, if this is of the same quality (only smaller I assume!)

  • It even looks and opens like it's cheap garbage in the video....WTF? XD

Seriously if your looking for a cheap case go for fucking Frisby Just remember to buy a bigger PSU if your going for something bigger then a Geforce FX or Radeon 9700/9800 OR Radeon X800 Geforce 6800. ;o (All cases come with a 350watt or 450watt PSU which is good if your using one of the above listed cards/series)

  • It's all FAN-less ...get it?

  • someone please explain how the magnets wont mess the computer up

  • @thatbudguy I guess Thermaltake figured out the way to do that :))

  • I would put some candy at the top

  • Try some Antec's white cases. Replace that big blue fan on the side of this case because the bearings are crap in side the fan! The tool bin is cool to put to put flash drives into.

  • Try some Antec's white cases.

  • Ive had this case for 3 years, Not the +, but the first version!!!

  • There is Nooo way you would get an ATI Radeon HD 5970 in that case unless you took the HDD bay out of it..

  • @MetAlParA

    It fits.

  • magnet+computer=?

  • could you fit a PALIT GTX 275 in there?

thank you Albert for a great review!

  • yes

  • @124Z312 I have this case running cfx 5770 on a gigabyte board. The two cards take up all the pci slots levaing very bit room to access the remaining slots. 1x pci at the bottom and 2x pciex 1 at the top and middle.

Be sure to plug in your 6 pin before putting the card in the slot, there is about 1-2 inches to spare. Since the clearance is 10" and the 5770 are about 8-9 inches.

  • this case looks big but the interior is a bit small..the cable management is a bit frustrated unless your PSU is modular... I have this one now... and some parts are plastics i broke two parts in the inside.. the card clipper and the HD clipper... but i still love this case..

  • @aparach What parts did you break ??? Is this case heavy ?? I think at the price of about 140 bucks then this case is really rocks :D

  • @MYMAnarchy i broke the HD Screwless plastic, the Video Card Screwless plastic and the front plastic that can hold the Front two metal designs.... but other than .. the case looks good...

  • @aparach Yeah I see man. Thanks for replying. Your comment is kinda old so I didn't expect to see a reply back.

  • @aparach i have the same case. the pci clips are very fragile and not very secure. I i broke them but you can used screws to hold them in. Modular psu is a must for this case, im running a bigwater 760i in this case

  • Just like sniper4usmc said, this case does not have a removable motherboard tray. Only the full tower Armor+ series comes with the removable motherboard tray. I have both the Armor+ MX and the full size Armor+. If you want a removable motherboard tray then buy the Armor+ not the Armor+ MX. I will warn you though the full tower will make your back hurt my system weighs near 50lbs!

  • The full tower version has a removable mobo tray, but I don't think the mid tower has that included.

  • I ca't beleive he didn't mention if the mobo tray is removable or not. I'm gon go and search for another review to know :S

  • it is.

  • not removable..I have this case

  • Id like to know if a Noctua NH-U12P can work on this?

  • why does tigerdirect need compusa they are like identical i thought this was tigerblog until the end they have the same people and same music room and every thing so what is different between the to except the name?

  • no removable mobo? im going with haf932 now..

  • @snipershitzu it does have a removable, u take off the whole tray and back bit, and then slide it back in (Y)

  • no this case dont have removable MOBO tray,,I have this case,

  • @snipershitzu o w8 thats the full size one, get the full size one m8 :) better than the HAF, and if ur gna get HAF get the antec 1200 instead otherwise ull be cleaning ur pc every month cus the HAF got no dust filters

  • LOL and that doesnt have a removable motherboard tray either..

  • does a 5970 fit in this???

  • Does any one know whether a ATI 5870 fit in Thermaltake Armor +mx case? Any one who has it installed please let me know before I order the 5870?

  • URGENT!

Im no noob but im having trouble figuring this out. Would this case take a ASUS P6T7 WSSupercomputer mobo which is a CEB form factor. Please if you dont know dont answer wrong i have 3000$ pc on the line.

  • Your better off askin the customer services from whicever store/site your purchasing your items from... because then if THEY get it wrong you can exchange or refund it

  • Yes, but you should get a full tower. cuz if your getting that mobo you should watercool it and that case isnt big enuf. Im not saying you dont have enuf room. i just dont like mid towers and watercooling. and i like the psu on the bottom, but thats just my opinon

  • Search the name for this case and look at the Thermaltake site. it should tell you all of the supported form factors.

  • According to Newegg, it does not support that form factor.

  • it should

  • wont fit.. but i think that mobo will fit in the raven rv01\2, just google it

  • HAF 932 is better build

  • i would say this would be better has lots of advantages

  • this or haf932?

  • the HAF is better, the armor sucks

  • haf 932 or 922?

  • Can this fit an Asus P6T SE w/ Intel i7, Scythe Mugen 2 - SCMG-2000 and 2x Club3D HD 4890?

  • Yes this can fit it but i would say thermaltake Armor + with LCS

  • cool, spot on the top to stash your weed

  • @Jaytheredneck1 no shit man i smoked weed every fucking day when i was building my pc.

  • Comment removed

  • the full size armor+ i put in a black ice II radiator on top. i named my system "LIQUID ARMOR VII" :P lol

  • i love this case .Great for modifying and a window to look at any moddified board.

  • can this case fit a p5q pro?

  • yes

  • Does the fan have air filter come along with it?

  • no it doesnt

  • Comment removed

  • I like it, i like it very much

and i think its kinda not that expensive.

  • how to add another fan on front?

  • Mx means its a mid tower version of a full tower case.... Xaser MX, Armor MX etc.. all midtowers

  • Is it compatible with a dell optiflex gx 150-motherboard?

  • Dude, that's mad funny!!!!!!

  • MX is probably MaXimum

  • Ok =(

  • hey you know how to modify the speed of a 23 cm fan

  • you need a fan controller/resistor cable, you need to lower the voltage

  • I got that caise, and i LOVE IT! but i have not connected the 230mm fan cuz i think its a little noisy.

The caise is just awesome! But you will need a sata cable whit a 90* bend, otherwise the cables will get crushed more or less...

One thing that scard the shit out of me was when i were putting my GPU (XFX 9800 GTX ) in, it was a THIGHT fit.

Im wondering if any1 knows if the 9800 GTX series are the same lenght as the new GTX 250 - 295?

  • There is a 1.5 inch difference between the cards.

    9800GTX+ 9In card

    GTX 260-285 is 10.5

Hope i Helped. I own all them cards and this case with water cooling so please do not worry . Go with water cooling for better performance and cable mangament allowing you a little more room to play with w/out have them cables gone crazy in your case

  • will the gtx 260 fit in this? i just bought both o_0

  • LittleCHIKON Yes the GTX 260 will fit in this case. Really tight talking 1/8 inch from hard drive rack but it fits. Fair warning the card has to be angled in the case then the back tooless PCI slots has to come out as seen at 5:10

  • alright thanks =]

  • Course it will :P

  • hardly, i had to wiggle it in and turn it sideways and stuff, hard =/

  • Well it should have...

  • does the fan have a four pin or three pin cable. If it is four pin you could easily mod it to run on 7v which would make a large difference, assuming it is enough to get it going. If it is three pin you could get an extension cable with a resistor on it to reduce the rpm. Or you could get a fan controller. you should serioulsy consider using it because it makes a tremendous difference to the airflow in the case, i believe that those cards would be of very similar dimensions.

  • i need that case to fit a good motherboard, sata cables get in the way of the bigger graphics cards and there is only one x16 pci-e slot

  • i used this case for my new build - so

    i ran into some problems

When using the coolermaster V8, it has a VERY VERY snug fit with the 230 mm. I also used a Sapphire Radeon 4870 X2. It wouldnt fit. I had to take out the hard drive part, put the graphics card back in and then put the hard disk part back in.

It does come with zip-ties and cable management parts. Nice case, not really too heavy.

  • this channel is beast im just getting into building computers thanks man

  • how tall is this case?

  • omg a radiator there? i have the big armor+ and i have a 650w psu. its not very long and a 140mm fan fits there very tight. its impossible to put there even a 240mm radiator. i hate this. he talks shit all the time.

  • i almost bought this case but i went for the CM690 NVIDIA edition instead :)

  • Im getting mine tomorrow I cant wait! :P)

  • does anyone know if the turbo fans 140mm are good?

  • awesome case

  • thermaltake makes the best cases

  • Not at all

Cooler Master HAF 932 beat this case :D

  • True

  • that's not a fair comparison, the 932 is a full tower this is a mid.

  • Really? I replaced the side panel with Plexiglass...and now its bulletproof!...lol.

  • That thing is a pure dust magnet.

  • i'd like a blue led fan for the rear of this case to match the side fan, can anyone suggest a blue led fan that matches the colour of the side fan?

ive tried a akasa blue led fan, a antec fan from a antec 900 but the colours are a different hue.

    thanks

  • i spoke too soon my tops different an mine dosent have the back screws plus side tho mine has a lock and key for those thieving family members

  • WOOT thats what i got costed 75 bux waaaaaaaat

  • Very impressed with this case, it was worth every penny!

    AMD Phenomx4 9850 black edition

    Asus m4a78 pro

    gskill 4gb ram

    xigmatek hdt-s963 cpu cooler

    rocketfish 700watt psu

western digital 1 TB hard drive

    THERMALTAKE ARMOR MX+ MIDTOWER!!!

  • I bought one of these to replace my Antec 900. I also have a cosmos s which is built like a brick shithouse!

  • I just got this case through Newegg yesterday, this is the most bad ass case I've ever had. You have to see it in person to appreciate it.

  • wait.... magnets near the hard drives...?

  • dosent effect.. i think xD

  • magnets near the whole build...?

  • I have this case w/750i mobo and 9800GTX+

  • hey man i have this case it fits my sapphire 4870 512mb with about a 2 inches to spare

  • this one or cooler master cosmos s 1100

  • coller master

  • ok thnx

  • just ordered the case today, CANNOT FUCKING WAIT!!!!

  • yes, i just found the review, the distance between the hard drive cage and expansions slots is 10.6 inches (26.9 cm) and the 4870 is 8.7 inches ( 22cm) long so an easy fit.

  • I am 95% sure it does. I think i read somewhere the distance between the hard drive cage and the case slots and there was enough room for a 4870 fairly easily.

  • I heard you have to take some of the HD trays out to fit a 280. I'm not sure what the size difference is though. If you realy need a whole load of room, Thermaltake makes a full armor+.

  • @ 2:42 can someone please explain how you can fit a 3 x 120 rad up there?

That plastic don't look like its meant to come off, and I can't see one fitting underneath as a PSU will be occupying that spot.

Also, does that 230mm fan have a dust filter attached to it?

  • the flaps are removable,, see the 3dgameman review of this awesome case..

  • ok, well that's different then :-) thnx

  • I don't think this case would be great if your gonna add in a fan controller that goes into one of your slots on the front, looks like the flaps would cover it

  • he talks about the tool less thing, like it's a brand new idea, lol, I have a ASUS Vento 3600 (Which sucks) and it's 3 years old, and has the toolest feature...

  • does anyone know if this will fit a 9800gtx?

  • mcguire720, 9800gtx's standard length is 10.50inches.

thermaltake website says this case's max vga card length is 270mm (10.63 inches). meaning you've still got 0.13 of an inch clearance before you scratch your 9800gtx, or the Armor+ MX. hope that helps.

  • Yes it does, I got this case with the Nvidia GTX260 and the dimensions of the 9800gtx and the GTX260 are practicaly the same :)

  • I get the VH6000 full tower for christmas can't wait to see the cable management I could do with that case :D

  • i got mine today and it also most the same size as an antec 1200

  • the full tower is awesome. i get one too.

  • me too but i will get the full tower case.

  • awesome case! :) i want 1 :P
