  • This vid helped me lots, thank you ver much for that :D

  • One question. How do you change the resolution of the render?

  • @andyswenson2009 In the side bar, when your under the render settings there should be like a dimension button. Like 1920 x 1080 or depending on your monitor i think. Just change that and you'll be good. there should be an option for presets above that.

  • I need help. When I make the big cube a domain what button do I press to see a small preveiw? Also, when I bake/render it, all it does is sit there and not move at all.

  • @DimbleWally Ok, First of all to preview something you press Alt+ A. BUT if you press that during a bake, it will cancel the bake. That's why you should wait for the bake to finish. If you want to see it while it's baking, just use the left and right arrow keys to go through the animation. When you render make sure your rendering it as a movie file, and click animation.

  • cool man make more tutorials like explotions, fire etc...

  • This is awesome thanks, but my fluid sim bake takes quite a while :D

  • HEY HEY LOOK IN LEFT DOWN MINECRAFT!!!

  • @MsCrazy933 Yes, yes it is. I just don't go on servers cause it takes too much time, SO NO OFFERS. But thanks for noticing.

  • How do you make the cube at 1:26 transparent?

  • @Theminecraftplayerdd The Z key

  • i have a question, what graphic card do u have ? or what is matter for rendering ... ?

  • @vezer4 I have a GeForce GTX 420. Not that good but it gets the job done. With regular Blender Rendering it dosent matter what Graphics Card you have, but it does matter what graphics card you have if your going to use Cycles/ GPU rendering.

  • okay i got it

  • who elses fluid just driped out

  • Mine doesnt constantly emit the water, it just emits it once how can I fix that

  • @Jack1998blue Under the Actual Fluid Object use Inflow, not fluid.

  • @WolfenCrew Thanks!

  • CAN U PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TELL me how to move around.like what u did at 3:59 saying lets get a good angle here.Tank you great tutorial by the way I liked it.

  • @kevintahmas Don't worry man, I'll always try and respond to the comments. All you have to do is use the middle mouse button, which is clicking the mouse wheel down. This makes it so you can rotate, and If you hold down Shift, you can Pan around on that angle. Hope this helped.

  • @WolfenCrew Thank you so much it helped a lot.And can you tell me how to record it and put it on you tube and such.

  • Saying "click here" and then just moving on makes it very hard to follow along. I had to watch some parts several times, but once I got it this was very helpful. Thanks.

  • @crytuf I'm sorry, I actually didn't take into consideration that people would be watching the tutorial while in blender. Yes this sounds stupid of me, but what I do is I try and Watch the tut, and then immitate, or try to do what they did. Thanks for pointing this out. Glad you enjoyed.

  • Yeah I got it, I just had to wait for the bake to load more. Thanks for the great tutorial.

  • Baked the domain and now it's covering up my inflow.

    Vat do I do?

  • @flmk20 Thats normal, the domain becomes the fluid.

  • Help! When I made the doman then baked it the main doman cube dissapeared and I could only see the cube in the center of it.

  • I showed this to my dad he was amazed thanks!

  • @calebsurfer Glad you Two Liked it.

    :D

  • my water is flowing backwards how do you rotate it to the way you have it.

  • @javon916 Make Sure That When you set the inflow settings, that the X Or Y setting is Actually Negative. Like For Example.

If you set it at Y=1

Then the way the green arrow is pointing would go ---------->

But If you say Y= -1 Then It would go <---------------

    Get it?

Now apply that to any axis.

  • thanx ;)

  • I LIKE THIS, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

  • Pro tip; give plane a material, go down to shadow setting near the bottom of the material settings and click 'receive transparent'. No more crap shadows.

  • @IPVentertainment Thank you very much, This will help a lot, especially if I'm using Ambient Occlusion. =P

  • Love the video tutorials you make Brandon. I'm always learning something new from you tutorials. Of course, I started almost a year ago on Blender, so I'm somewhat "wet behind the ears" still...

  • Thank you! This looks fantastic!

  • @CoffeeBitLPs Hey man, Glad you like it.

  • @WolfenCrew Yeah this is awesome.

  • WTF HOW U MAKE WATER????

  • @masterdelrap Lol, There are much better tuts on actual, proffesional Blender Websites.

  • @WolfenCrew i almost become a perfect creater in this blender

  • WOOHOOO I AM GETTING GOOD AT THIS

  • i think if you add a material to your plane and allow it to receive transparent under the shadow tab you will get rid of that weird shadow under the water

  • @SkinnyWhiteGeek Thanks fr the info man.

  • how do you render the actual animation?

  • @SuperMitchTV I have a tutorial on that, just check my uploads.

  • whats the numpad?

  • @TheLegendaryJai If you have a laptop, you might not have a "Numpad" on your laptop. Its Basically a mini number thing on the right side of the keyboard. It has symbols like:

/ * - + and all the numbers, But in Blender They're used for navigation. As in, the numbers.

  • hello my name is freddy I'm from Argentina and I wonder if 2.6 is with blender can achieve the effect of water control and the last airbender and put it to a video ... or if there is a program to that effect if I you can tell I'll be very grateful. Greetings and answer me to my e-mail that is federicoemanuel@live.com

  • @fedeketchum You can definitely use after effects. I've seen people do it. You can most likely get a trial of after effects and look up a tutorial! Hope this helps! =P

  • how do you start the water animation?!??!?!

  • @123ethanf123 After its done baking you press Alt A, and while its baking you use the arrow keys to play through the animation.

  • Nice Tutorial, man. But the actual IOR value for water is 1.333

  • @AboodyTravelsAlot Yeah. I know. :P

  • How do you get it to be just the out line and not the entire square?

  • @xXxFirestarter1994xX At what part in the video are you talking about, I dont quite understand your question.

  • @WolfenCrew I figured it out. You hit the z button to get just the outline of the rectangle.

  • Wireframe view :P

  • My water looks too cohesive. Help!

  • @OblongSausage I dont know what Cohesive means.....

  • @WolfenCrew Lol

  • @WolfenCrew ... Well. It means my water sticks together too much and looks almost like goo.

  • @OblongSausage Try changing the manual Viscosity settins, undr Domain World. It might be set to manual. IIf it is, change it to water, and maybe change the resolution. Hope this helped. If it didn't then, I am sorry.

  • Is it possible to implement this into the game engine?

  • @OblongSausage Possibly, But I have NOOOOO Idea how, :D

  • u have minecraft :)

  • @candyboy302982 I do indeed, But I don't play it as much as I used to. :D

  • @WolfenCrew if u want we can play sometime ive got a server

  • @candyboy302982 Nah, I don't play it that much, Kinda got sick of it. Thanks for the offer though.

  • Thx!

  • help!! when i select fluid, then domain it sasy error: no input fluid scene...or something?

  • @mateo123i you have to add an inflow or a Fluid object to it. Just add any object "Mesh" and then select fluid, then in the place where you chose domain, just choose inflow instead. Hope this helped.

  • @WolfenCrew ok thank you...im totally new but phyhics is cool!

  • em....actualy i dont understand how to add...you should help me somehow on team viewer ??? :P

  • @mateo123i Shift + A is to add an object.

  • Comment removed

  • didn't work

  • Whenever I make the water, the water itself looks cuboidish, It's not smooth like it is in the tutorial I tried it twice.

  • @Garazatox Try This: In the Domain settings under the preview resolution change preview to final. If you have a higher final rez than the preview one, then it should get better, If not, then I don't know. Hope This helped. I also have an updated version of this one. You should find it.

  • @Garazatox No, just click on smooth on the left toolbar it isnt visible in this video and thanx to wolfencrew u help me :)

  • @trapicej Welcome. :D

  • sanaforbitch

  • @SuperGuilol Pardon? Was That an insult?

  • hey brandon, why does the render stop and turn into a cube at the same time my bake render did? im a Cinema 4D Expert and checking out blender for its amazing fluid aspects. im a complete noob at blender, this is actually my first tutorial ever so i really need help.

  • @Atratix Hrmm......I'm not really Sure I know what you mean. Maybe If you could explain it more in depth or make a video response, showing me what the problem is. Because I can;t explain to you if I Don't Know what the problem is. Thanks For adressing my name, that's the first time someones ever done that on a comment. So if you could explain more, then I could help you. XD

    -Brandon.

  • @WolfenCrew maybe i'm rendering it wrong, as i stated before, i have no idea how to use this program so i have no idea if im doing the render right, there doesn't seem to be a single 2.6 render tutorial so if you could make one it would be greatly appreciated :)

  • @Atratix I do have a tutorial on rendering, it should be titled blender animation tutorial, hopefully that helps!

  • Thatssss A nice icon you got down there.

BTW This is awesome, before i watched this totorial i didnt even know the physics tab existed,

Also How come whenever you do yours. It shows your liquid solid. It shows mine as a wireframe and i cant change it..

  • @necrospector If you Press Z, Then You'll go out of wireframe. Thanks man, and what Icon?

  • @WolfenCrew the minecraft Icon lolw, thanks dude that helped alot

  • @necrospector No Prob! I have an updated version of this tutorial, just check the uploads and you'll find it.

  • I done the steps and it was so helpful. Now waiting for rendering in AVI movie to see the result. Thanks.

  • @ericrbsilva Thanks man, I have a new Water material tutorial, if you check my uploads for it, it will be there. It will probably say Blender Water material (Updated) Thanks!

  • @WolfenCrew That's nice. I will check this out when I get a chance. Thank you.

  • 1) Water is not blue.

    2) IOR for water at 25°C is 1.333.

    3) The "water" material creates an unrealistically dark sharp shadow.

    Other than that, good tutorial.

  • @cbader92 I already knew that the IOR was 1.333 but i was trying to get a good material, with the ENVIORMENT LIGHTING that's what i wanted to try and acomplish. But thanks for the information, all of it helps!

    -Brandon.

  • @WolfenCrew Subscribed, keep up the good work :)

  • It says "No input fluid object in the scene" even if I did exactly like you, why ?

  • Comment removed

  • Nevermind, I solved

  • @WolfenCrew I forgot to put "Inflow" lol

  • Hey I was trying to make another water animation but when I make anything my domain it instantly turns into what I made when I watched this, like it just makes it from memory or something. Any advice to make it go away so I can make my beer?

  • @SteenRllr I think you need to either delete the bake files, or just ignore it, because when you press bake it'll use what you put in the scene. So nothing's wrong, you just didn't know what was happening. If this isn't what's happening then i don't know....xD

    -Brandon

  • @WolfenCrew How do I do that?

  • @SteenRllr Hrmmmm. I don't know what's happening man, i'm sorry, just follow a fluid tutorial i did recently, If it still dosen't work, then i can't help you, sorry.

  • @SteenRllr Did you manage to fix it, or do you still need help? :)

  • @WolfenCrew I think I got it, I think I just have to mess around with it for a while.

  • btw on some of the blender videos i have seen blocks falling and crushing each other, do you have a tutorial for that or know where i can find one?

  • @pickachuuuuu I have Seen that, and I WANT TO DO IT SOOOO BADLY!!! but i have yet to figure it out... very difficult.

  • @WolfenCrew ok! good luck

  • hey there so i just tried it but when i try to make the cube he domain in the first part it turn into a little arrow thing any idea why?

  • @pickachuuuuu Ummm...No....It's never turned into arrows...I have no idea why it's doing that, sorry..

  • @pickachuuuuu darnz ok thanks anyways

  • Hey man thanks a bunch, this was a great help keep up the good work!

  • @SteenRllr Thanks Man, all the feedback helps!

  • This material is awesome! Thanks a lot.
