  • One thing I have always loved about this show is the men's ability to show their affection for one another without fearing that someone is judging their masculinity for it. It's a very nice thing to see.

  • Willie is so amazing.

  • hahahaha i love the dancing part, it made my day =)

  • omg willie was crying :'( and so was i

  • Is laura and willie sister and brother in real life?

  • @daydreamer493 yes they are. when i first found out. i was shocked :) but i think its awesome that they got to work together

  • willie is a cutie pie now!

  • Willie and Laura are so sweet together!! it's so sad when willie cry's i almost must cry by myself!

  • i cried at what willie said. 'please for old times sake'

    'willie, in the corner'

and bless him, he starts to cry!

jonathan gilbert certainly grew up to be a very goodlooking man!

  • @jecka1982 Agree with everything you just said :')

  • @SpockLover27 thanks!

  • How on earth do you teach someone Willie's age, and someone Nancy's age in the same class? Surely there has to be a different curriculum for each; even within one subject they would be on different levels.

  • This is so fu...ing sad! I cant watch it!

  • Three sad moments in the first 15 min :( This seriea isnt the same after this ep!

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE the scene with Willie and Laura!

  • One question: There's something I find odd when Laura says things like 'I thought I was preparing for today' or 'And I knew how much he was hurting inside'... I'm not English, and I was taught to rather say 'prepared' or 'hurt'; which is correct?? please, answer me!

  • @kamkamkam25 I personally would use prepared in the first sentence and hurting for the second. Hope I was helpful, but it really depends on the situation and the context in which the words are being used.

  • @Emotional2000 Ok, thanks for the answer emotional2000. Actually, I do now understand the use of "hurting" (to highlight the feeling); as you said, it must depend on how the characters really feel inside, but it's difficult for learners to know the difference. In French, only past-participles are admitted, so it makes us a little confused ... (or should I say "confusing"??) LOL

  • @kamkamkam25 You're welcome. I am just glad I was some help... By the way, I totally understand where you are coming from on the past participles. Sometimes I get then confused when speaking Spanish (the little that I do know ,lol)... So I know what you mean...

  • @kamkamkam25 She said prepared not preparing

  • awww... the "harvest of friends' back together

  • awww willie was crying in the corrner:( willie has grown 2 be not as a bossy king after all, like nellie in the yonger years, lolz hes actully pretty hot:)

  • why is Charles leaving? Where is Laura's mother?

  • i love the scene with Charles and Mr. Edwards. You can see Michael and Victor's friendship here. I always cry at this part and when Willie asks Laura to send him to the corner.

  • That is sooo funny w charles and nels dancing together w a bonnet on his head LOL then Rev Alden wants to cut in. LOLOLOL

Why does laura have 2 b so sappy about charles feelings.?

  • I cant stop crying =...( Aww poor Willie.

  • charles is crying way more than caroline

  • @Emotional2000 What happened between Edward & Grace. I know that she kicked him out and stuff and she was engaged to a new man. But did they every say anything else about it? Thanks for uploading :)

  • @Klemp26 Mr. Edwards started drinking or became an alcoholic and Grace decided to leave him as a result. I believe Mr. Edwards began drinking b/c of the death of his oldest son (John)... Eventually, Mr. Edwards does sober up with the help of the Ingalls. However, 'it was too litlle too late' for Grace who had already gave up on their marriage .

  • @Klemp26 And you're welcome for the vids!

  • AWW they have great friends in Wal. Grove. A fine men's store......Pa?!

  • awww willie... :)

  • Whoever disliked this has no soul!

  • all i have so say is that the class looks so much smaller with out all the Ingalls children in it. :)

  • AWWWW THEY WILL NEVER FORGET HER -CRY CRY CRY SOB SOB SOB-

  • This episode always made me cry!

  • Good riddence Laura! I found being a teacher went to her head! She was wayy too bossy!

  • Willie did turn out very nice-looking, didn't he? =)

  • man willie got handsome didn't he

  • 'For the last time'....how I've cryed...

  • I like how Willie grew into such a nice young man. He and Nellie were such brats early in the show, but his presentation to Laura in the school was really nice. It showed his character development. I can relate because when I was young, I know I was something of a brat too! Great show and great writing.

  • Willie grew into a cute young man :)

  • awh ilove willie hes so sweet <3

  • Why does the Ingalls family have to leave? It's so sad. It's not as good once the other family moves into that house. I mean there were tons of memories good and bad. But then they just have to up and leave.

  • oo! random fact! you know the new teacher? it's really Charles' daughter, well.. Michael Landon's daughter

  • Leslie Landon

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHA Nells with the bonnet on LOL

  • its soo weird to now that melissa (laura) en jonathan(willie) are brother and sister

  • ooh really??! Laura and Willie are actually brother and sister in real life? cool...

  • Jonathan "Willie" is Melissa's adopted brother....close enough though...

  • @meeeeeeow95 Only by adoption both Mellisa and Jonathon were adopted. Mellisa was adopted at the age of one day old and Jonathon came after she was older.

  • i founded that this series once not as good when \chalres and his family left

  • oh willie so sweet and kind

  • Willie was crying!

  • @meeeeeeow95 I think that is why he asked to be sent to the corner, to hide his tears.

  • i knew willie liked laura A LOT!

  • Why wasn't Laura teaching anymore?

  • Now that Laura has little Rose, she had to stay home to take care of her and so would no longer be able to teach.

  • Its hard to believe,,wille;s gonna miss Laura after all the fighting and bickering him and Nellie did with her.

    Amazing how time changes people.

Egads I hate seeing men cry like that.

  • Not really that hard to belive, if you notice, Willie starts changing to the fine gentleman he becomes the moment Nellie starts acting normally and even more so when she moves away and Nancy was introduced.

  • Willie wanted to go in the corner so no one would see him cry.

  • okay, does anyone know why Hallmark Channel doesn't show Little House on the Prairie anymore?? It made me so sad cause it's a great show and it's the only place that I could see ALL the episodes. The DVD sets are too expensive for me :(

  • The girl who is Willie's sister is Nancy. The Olseson's adopted her after Nellie and her husband and kids moved to New York.

  • I find it weird Willie calling Laura Mrs.Wilder when they grew up together.

  • yeah, and it's weirder when Albert calls her that cause they're siblings!

  • escpecially willie he used 2 b a bastard 2 her and now he has 2 b polite!

  • She did become their teacher, and the way to adress a teacher respectfully would be to say mrs. Wilder. So it's not that wierd that they call her by her formal name.

It must have been wierd for them thou having their sister/friend being their teacher.

  • wat episode did laura become teacher?

  • thisthe first episode

  • wear are mary and adam

  • They moved to New York

  • so laura is no longer a teacher now she becomes an author !!!!!!!!!!!!!! they better show rose growing up and all ......... hey how old is laura any way //////??????

  • willie is cute

  • It seems this will be the last time Willie is sent to the corner. througout the seasons, it seemed he liked it as if he were in love with the corner. Now it is making me cry :'( I only read three of the first Little House books now, so I'll soon start off with By The Banks of Plum Creek.

  • 712 i was balling my heart out!!

  • when did willie get a sister?

and y does she act so snotty like nellie

  • they leave the house because they have to sell the farm owing to financial troubles

  • they leave the house in plum creek because they have to sale the farm (financial troubles)

they go to live at sleepy eye city. but laura and her husband almanzo still live in walnut grove. they are the new generation.

  • oh boy do i love willie

  • i love willie!!!!!!!!!!

  • why are they leaving the house?

  • Dammit, stop it Willie...you're gonna make me cry again.

  • I cannot stop crying! I love this show!

  • THis show is awful(not really) Only cause I have cried like ten times since the beginning of the episode already!!!

  • In the last year of his life, Kevin Hagen who played Doc Baker went to the National Enquirer to claim that Little House on the Prairie creator and star Michael Landon had not given the cast their fair share of money on residuals. In a follow up interview, Hagen thanked fans for their support and said some co-stars had contacted him to tell him they also felt they had been cheated out of money.

  • I don't think Michael Landon would have done that. Maybe somebody else involved with the show but I don't think Mr. Landon was that kind of man.

  • Intesting that this has all come out within the last few years, Landon has been dead for nearly 20 years now.

  • yes plumb is landons daughter IRL

  • willie crying? ohhh i totally adore him... hes soooo sweet...

  • hihi i never think that is Willie!!!

  • I almost cryed when Laura left the school

  • Yeah, it was heartbreaking... I really couldn't see Laura as a house wife... She is portrayed as very independent by Melissa Gilbert.

  • Mr. Edwards is just so cute, when he hugs Charles

  • I dont like Willie's make up.

    Its too unnatural!

  • I love Willie!!!

  • Hey, Miss Plumb is Michael Landon's daughter.

  • The real Laura Ingalls mentioned that she hated teaching actually. She had to do it because she needed to help her family. It was expected of her.

  • I felt like in the show, Laura only wanted to be a teacher to show her family that she was mature and to impress Almanzo.

  • Why did Laura give up teaching? I could understand if it were because of Rose, but she has already had her.

  • I would assume it was to stay home and help take care of her family...

  • In the books she gave up teaching immediately after getting married.

  • yep...Pretty much cryed the contacts right outta my eyes @ 2:18sec

  • why did laura leave the school?

  • I believe its b/c the role of a wife was to cook and help with child-rearing primarily during her time. I think Laura only worked as long as she had to in order to help her family fiancially or something to that extent. But Almanzo never striked me as the type that really wanted Laura to work. I think he wanted her to be home to take care of him and the baby.

  • Yes, I kind of noticed that too! I think a lot of men had that in those days.

Did charles mind caroline working in the restaurant?

  • I don't think he minded, RosyOlif

  • 2000 thanks emotional2000

  • You're welcome...

  • poor willie...:(

  • willie in the korner ....:(

  • Man, I had the biggest crush on Laura when I was little, watching the show.

  • Poor Willie, he looks so sad.

  • the house is sold?!, charles cried?!, lauras not teaching in walnut grove?!, willie cried?!..ima cry:'( i dont remember these episodes:'( thank you Emotional

  • You're welcome funnymoof.

  • *Sniffs* yeah this is a bittersweet episode to me also with the show exploring the realism of relationships and drawing you in as if you actually lived in that time while you feel every second of their joy and pain.thanks for uploading!!!

  • You're very welcome sakuralor! It was really heartbreaking to see the Caters move into the Little House Charles and Caroline had lived in for so long.

  • how many years did they made this serie? 1974-1982 or 1974-1983 wihc one is right?

  • 1974-1984 counting the three movies at the end of the

    series.

  • where is part 3 and why is willie CRYING?

  • Laura steps down from teaching and Ms. Plum takes over her teaching position. Willie's crying b/c Laura will no longer be his teacher at The Walnut Grove School. This is quite a sad epi, but it does have its happy moments as well. :)

  • Willie is crying because he's gonna miss having Laura as a teacher.

  • willie is so...

  • poor charles

  • lol mr oleson with a Bonnet
