wow! But seriously,how do you use 3d in a live film! Tutorials please or tips. I want to make a movie with 3d effects!

There is a software that comes with the Autodesk Maya software it's called Composite(aka Maya Composite aka Toxik). However, I do not know how to use it and it is very difficult to find tutorials. I would be very happy if i find some tutorials.
