I used the defy for a few months and HATED it. Great speakerphone and a good camera, I mean the thing works but freezes a lot. If you dont mind waiting a bit here and there and reseting it a few times a day it does the job but I went to the sensation and it was like going from a Geo Metro to a corvette..

Every single one I've had does nothing but constantly freeze up, every time you try to send a text, the letter keys you type doesnt correspond to the letters that appear on the screen... and one of the biggest problems with the pile of shit is any application(s) that utilize the camera feature will not work 90% of the time...it CONSTANTLY zooms in n out of focus and ultimately will not focus long enough to have the app work correctly. Google Goggles is a perfect example!

@j3vintimilla T-Mobile can't make your phone freeze, they can only drop calls and give you slow data (though they don't drop calls for me and have pretty fast data in my area). It might be an app you installed that's causing it to crash or freeze.

@NZLMK No doubts, Defy is way better! It has more RAM: 512 MB vs Ace's 256 RAM. Display is better and Android version is not a problem: you can flash the phone if you want and use Android 2.3.5 in Defy like me :D

@NZLMK In that case, i9000 is more powerful. It has Android 2.1, but you can flash it too and use 2.3.5 ;)

If you want, you can wait to "Defy+", something like "Defy 2" with a 1 GHz processor and HD recording! It will be better than i9000 and it will be waterproof like Defy. It's my recomendation :)

It's not regular gorilla glass, regular gorilla glass is totally scratch resistant, and I have few scratches on my screen, and if I tap the screen with my nail you hear like a ''plastic'' sound compared to my brothers Nokia N8 screen

@Lampa05 unless it's made of nanocrystaline diamonds, it's not completely scratch proof. any screen will probably get scratches from materials with hardness higher than 6 or 7. that's not to say they're really vulnerable to a lot of things since gorilla glass probably has a higher amount of quartz mixed in it to give it even more hardness, probably near 7, and your average metal has hardness hovering around 3 to ~5. still, there are some stuff that are able to scratch it.

I live in Mauritius – Had a friend buy the DEFY in UK for me last december. Ear Speaker went dead after a month. Motorola wouldn't help at all. Said they would only ship to a UK address... (the bastards)

The whole process took 5 months...
