the class generally follows the development of written english language from early british works to modern use, including James Joyce's works. Interestly Dubliner's was first published in Britain, and parts were considered profanity in ireland, and even in the united states if i'm not mistaken.
@electricrussell Maybe YOU should study history and realise that James Joyce was born in the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Ireland, his sole nationality was British, Irish nationality did not exist prior to 1922 by which time he had long since left the British Isles for the continent.
