I just want to clarify one issue here. after the wife takes 1/8 of the wealth, there will be 7/8 left over. so when the when the daughters takes 2/3 = 4/6 and the parents of the man 1/3 = 1/6 + 1/6=2/6, they are taking it from the left 7/8 and not from the original 8/8. the wife is the first who get her share. 2/6 + 4/6 = 6/6. so i advise you to go to colledge if you must, but dont patronise people with such a weak argument.

The ancient Egyptians invented calculus and algebra (Egyptian Moscow Papyrus) 2000 years before Islam even existed. After that came the Greeks who corrected what the Egyptians had wrong and stored the knowledge in Alexandria, most of which was burnt to the ground by sub-humans from the Arab peninsula.

In the example the man that dies has children so his wife is entitled to get 1/8. It clearly says so! I just want to clarify one issue here. after the wife takes 1/8 of the wealth, there will be 7/8 left over. so when the when the daughters takes 2/3 = 4/6 and the parents of the man 1/3 = 1/6 + 1/6=2/6, they are taking it from the left 7/8 and not from the original 8/8. the wife is the first who get her share. 2/6 + 4/6 = 6/6. so i advise you to go to colledge if you must, but dont patronise people with such a weak argument.

But no indication is given that the wife takes her share first and then the rest of the family takes their shares after that. It is only a human-made addition to correct the discrepancy in the Quran. Same goes for other scholarly solutions, such as giving the wife nothing or reducing the inheiritance of everyone proportionally.
