Those of you having issues on not being able to "connect to device" after plugging in your phone to one click root, make sure you "unmount you sd card", under SETTINGS > SD CARD & PHONE STORAGE SETTINGS > then UNMOUNT SD CARD. once you do that, click the USB debugging ON and attempt to one-click root again. It worked on my g2x. i didnt have a SD card in it. so i had to borrow my bfs, then put it in and go to unmount sd card, in order to finally root my phone. GOOD LUCK! lemme know if it works!!!

@jviramontes1 rooting basically gives you permission to do WHATEVER you want to your phone. you can get wifi tethering for free, make the phone run faster (called overclocking), and you can install custom ROMs (kind of like themes). and soooooo much more!
