My boxer from 6 months would not stay out of the pool, she loves it as well. Just born with some I guess. Her parents and grandparents always had pools.
This vid made me so sad. I miss my smokey ( boxer) I had to give him away because my Apt Manager wouldn't let me keep him. Smokey I pray the lady that took is taking good care of you!

Did you take her in the water at an early age? How did she get like that? I mean my boxer hates the pool...is there a secret? Any tips to make her less afraid?
I didnt want her to be afraid of the water, so I put a leash on her and i sat in the water on the first step. Then after she got comfortable I pciked her up and put her on the first step with me. Once she got comfortable ad stayed there I went into the pool and she wanted to be with Daddy so she just followed me in. I then let her follow me in with her leash on took about 3 steps in the pool and lead her back to the steps to get out on her own. I didn this about 50 times
COOL BOXER!!! We are thinking about a pool, I'd heard boxers don't like to swim, hoping this isn't true and Paris has shown if it is, it's certainly not ALL boxers. Great Video!!! Boxers are the Best!!! :)
My family had a boxer mix, she was afraid of water at first but we suspected it was due to abuse by previous owner. After a lot of love, patience and showing her that we weren't gonna do anything nasty to her (she used to refuse to even get on the wet sand on the beaches she'd just stop and resist the leash) she would swim with me and my brother (to look after us, as boxers do) or chase birds into waterholes on the golf course :)
Isn't it bad for a dog to dive?
