  • Great folding press finish by Steve Kelly. Great stuff.

  • I'm not convinced that there was a predilection for teen wrestlers on WoS. Two of the biggest stars (figuratively and literally) were two lumps of lard called Big Daddy (Daffy?) and Giant Haystacks, neither of whom could actually wrestle.

  • the british predilection for lads in the late teens, often as young as sixteen, is fascinating.

  • @japanpro1 It's interesting that you comment on that. It's funny but I've never thought of it before; it just always seemed natural to me (when I was a boy) that a boy would learn to wrestle and then turn pro as soon as he'd left school.

  • From Crisp action to a Brisk pin-fall finish...& judging by the up-load date & the number of viewings ( as of May 23 -11. ) i think i'm not the only viewer who thought that this match was well worth viewing..Thanks for posting...It's Apprecaiated....

  • @wrestlegutpunch1

Yes, that's a nice scenario you paint. Bobby Barnes would have been a treat to watch against this young kid, really showing him what pro wrestling was all about.
