Whitechapel is kinda similar, Despised Icon is good, All Shall Perish, Suicide Silence. my favorite deathcore band is Thy Art is Murder. they only have an EP out tho, but they are the 5 most brutal songs u'll hear.

Johhny Gravy was pretty bad when I saw him. He burned out like two songs in. Then again, the sound system was shit at that show... This was Gigantour 2008, in San Diego. If they'd released a dvd for it, perhaps it could be proven. But then that was a pretty bad show overall, anyways.

Yea I saw them last month with a ton of other great bands, his vocals are impeccable. Also, I didn't think it was possible, but they played In Coalesce at least half again as fast as the original. Which is impressive, considering how fast the gallops in the opening are going to begin with.

actually real metalcore is converge, but i do agree that metalcore and death metal are COMPLETELY different. Not a fan of new metalcore, but I still think it is loosely metalcore.
