@hexclimber it is a Theraband Stability pillow. They come in different levels of stability, the green is the most stable. I got mine from Perform Better.com
Hmm, im wondering if i can just have my girlfriend use a rolling pin (what ever it is you call it to roll out doe) and kneed my hamstring with it. Hmm?
hi awesome video! This might sound stupid but since the hamstrings are elongated (and lets say there is an anterior tilt) would you recommend strengthening them as well to draw the anterior tilt back to a more neutral position? or do you recommend leaving them alone because once the hips are loosened up there will be some relief in the hamstrings. or even do both (CES style) :) thank you!
Thank you for the video! Is this technique just considered for the hamstrings? I have used the corrective technique of applying SMR to the tight muscle and then static stretching to the tight muscle and then strengthening of the antagonist followed by repititions of a movement pattern that incorperates all the muscles involved with the area. It has worked great for correcting upper cross syndrome and tight calves for me in the past. Have you tried this technique with tight hamstrings before?
Thank you Eric! I am very flexible but still felt tension in my left hamstring. These exercises helped loosen the surrounding areas as you said. Much appreciated!

Eric, where'd you find that small pad you're using for your knee...? Is it like an airex pad?

Great video Eric. I love the static stretches and will try the foam roller next time at the gym. Hope this helps for my long runs!
