  • That thay dont go all the way back thay are just turn down right at tge muffel

  • what are turn downs

  • Dude it looks like it came out the tow bar

  • Ive got an 04 and i was wanting to put turn downs on it too. Did you put an offset on it? Or straight threw?

  • I can't find a fitment for the Super 44 just the Super 40 on Flowmaster's website. You don't happen to know the part number off hand?

  • Did you have to add an extension pipe in order to replace the stock muffler with the 44? I am want to do the same thing with mine (44 series with turndowns). Can you tell me how you did yours?

  • @chrislav7 they sound different on different cars because of the difference in engine size, performance upgrades, and overall exhaust length and design.

  • The muffler is all I changed on that truck, but the entire exhaust affects the sounds and more importantly the performance. If your looking for sound I'd just go with the muffler. Performance, then the whole exhaust system.

  • Does the muffler or the whole exhaust system make the sound happen? Yea, I know I dont know much about cars..

  • nice sounding truck man. Not gawdy and cackly sounding like the rest out there. In my opinion they sound the best without nothing after the mufflers or at the most turn downs.

  • It's funny listening to this muffler on so many different cars. Why do they sound different on every car?

  • I got 44s on my 04 silverado z71 too.. If u put it in cruise u dont even really hear it... (which i like) but if u want someone to kno your there it will do it too u jus gotta burn a little gas but i love mine never get annoying.. As interior amazing low deep sound if your driving through town or own backroads.. but like i said b4 highway it melllows out i love it they are perfect

  • Not too noticeable unless you really get on it. Just a good low sound

  • @2004chevyman magnaflow are better

  • hows the interior sound?

  • some people on here are funny they say flowmaster is better no magnaflow is better. before u pick which one is better do some fuckin research.. flowmaster is one of the only mufflers with a pattend design also look at the dyno results on there websites a magnalow does not out perform flowmaster.. mybe on a flow bench but ull never notice that difference on ur car or truck.. so for u magnaflow guys get a life!!!

  • Its regular cab. I bought it at Matt Montgomery in Mount Washington KY just before Alex took. They put Alex on it anyway.

  • sounds nice man!! Is it a single or ext cab? btw doesn't that say alex montgomery chev on the tailgate?

  • Im getting ready to do the exact same thing to almost the exact same truck as yours...just out of curiosity did you go with the off road diamond platted one wit 2.5 in/out?

  • yeah it's perfect on my 6.0 silerado... not too loud perfect

  • Do you ever tow anything? Someone told me that with the Super 44's the sound gets loud and annoying when you start to pull. Do you know? Thinking about putting one one the 6.0 but we do a lot of hauling with it.

  • the flowmaster 40s are anoyingly loud at low speeds. especiially on hills :( bigest mistake ive ever done

  • The super 44 on my truck mellows out at highway speeds and it barely noticed in the cab of the truck. It has a nice deep sound. The exhaust never gets annoyingly loud at any time

  • @2004chevyman mine too!!I love them they are great pipes!!

  • @2004chevyman very true i transition for 40 series "original" to super 44 flow and what u describe was the same as me and now my truck sounds mean with a crazy bite

  • Hey man how is the drone with this? I have a flow 40 with turn downs and its just way to loud and drones bad. You think this muffler would be as bad? P.S. I have a silverado 5.3

  • sweet I got the same truck only in arrival blue :)

doing a true dual setup next week and not sure what mufflers I want on there weather it be magnaflow or flowmaster or perhaps to go with some other brand.

  • check out my vid, the 44's are hella beast and damn people be turnin their head to see what that was lol love flowmaster, sounds good on your truck btw

  • I get a lot of compliments on my exhaust with the turn downs. It sounds a lot different in person then on a video. The sound kinda echos under the bed. Glass packs probably would sound better with a full exhaust. They are a lot louder anyway. I put turn downs on it cause it was a little cheaper and I wouldn't have to keep my chrome tips clean.

  • Hey you should put some tailpipes on it I think it would sound better because I had glasspacks with turn downs and they sounded like shit so I put my tailpipes back on then I got a huge difference in sound

  • The turn downs are right off the muffler

  • do you have the turn downs right off the muffler or passed the rear end

  • that sounds mean! i have a 04 silverado with a 5.3 and a flowmaster american thunder catback which has the 50 series flowmaster, but ive been thinking about replacing that with a 44 series because i want something deeper and louder, what do you think? are you happy with the 44 series and is it loud enough? any input would be great, thanks!

  • @RMZmx250

I love my exhaust. It doesn't sound as good on the video. And the neighbors don't like it when i rev it too much. The super 44 has a good deep tone and mellows out at highway speeds to not be annoying. But some people like their exhaust annoying, if not to them, then everyone around them.

  • @2004chevyman hey is it loud enough to get me a ticket? or is it just right. i just bought 2 and am installing monday

  • @analmunkey No they aren't too loud at all. Nice sound in my opinion

  • exactly what mine sounds like.. dont like it too much switchin to true dual 3 inch with glass packs within the next week or 2 ill get a video up once i do

  • Flowmasters are louder than Magnaflows, unless the cats are modified and the Magnaflows break in fully. But they do perform much better.

  • Glasspacks sound like shit 99% of the time. I would rather just run open headers than have such a crappy sounding exhaust system.

  • there old school classic mufflers. i get tired of the sound but they make v8s sound pretty good

  • magnaflows do not sound as good and arent as loud, but flow better, and you get more power out of them.

  • poor mans yea right supper 44s are 90 bucks each

  • does this silverado have a songle flow or is it duel flow....

  • what in the fuck..

  • then why do you have one

  • only truck around at the time that was ext. long box where i live with a v8 4x4 and fully loaded .. nad got a realy good deal on it

  • fuck gotta love the american trucks they are fast and powerful that can pull a train.

  • where are you from?

  • correct correct.

  • @albama85 powerful that can pull a train? ...Now i know what kinda people drive american trucks...

  • what model muffler? part #

  • flowmaster super 44 series

  • sounds good bro

i'm going to put some duals on mine soon. with them tax returns

i have turndowns but i'm thinkin of puttin some pipes all the way back

  • sweet same as my truck, putting header's soon

  • is that ur silverado ss?

  • no just ls longbed

  • the ss has a 6liter

  • yea it has a 6.0 but i can beat my buds truck and my uncles avalanche both have 6.0's so the 6.0 does not mean its faster maybe more power but i cant see it

  • my 5.3 will run with the 6.0 just a little behind it

if i take the governor off i can run right along side em

  • 6 litres work like shit

  • how hard is it to put this on yourself?

  • Well depends on how your putting it on. If you weld it on it really easy once you get the old muffler off. If you use a strap type connector its not to hard easier just not as good a final product. Having it welded on is the best way.

  • did you install the muffler yourself or did you have a shop do it. i want to put one on my truck but i need to know if it was hard to do or not.

  • had a shop put it on. I bought the muffler and took it to the shop though, Saves a little

  • do you still have the cats on there

  • Yeah everything is stock except the muffler

  • dodge 360's sound the best.

  • Very nice. I just got the parts for my exhaust and i can't wait to have it installed. Flowmaster 44 with 3" Magnadlow tips!

  • yea no joke!

  • nice sounding truck man, check mine out.

  • very nice man I got the same on my '05 true dualed. Is your setup true duals? or is it a single inlet dual outlet muffler? or entirely single?

  • Its just single muffler with dual exit dumped. I didnt have the money at the time to do the whole job. But actually the sound when your driving seems to echo under the bed and makes it pretty loud but not annoying. I like it like that.

  • How do you have your tips coming out? I think I see them, but it's a tad dark. Are they straight out the back? Check out all my exhaust videos if want to hear something mean.

  • they are actually dumped right in front of the rear axle

  • Well regardless....it sounds good.

  • Thanks, I like it. Sounds real good when you get on it too
