When you were talking about octaves minus two and one.. what does that refer to exactly? The pitch on the oscillators is a 0.00 in your vid, got mine set to that also. And even when I try to play mine in the lower registers in the piano roll, I still get bells :/ Sorry if it's a noob question, just wondering if there's some pitch adjuster I don't know about yet. @dedballoonz No, you are exactly right, I mean further down the piano roll - so effectively two octaves down from the middle C. In the description you can download the exact .ksd file - try that and see what you get. Don't worry about asking any questions - We all start somewhere and I like to help people out whatever their level. Its just a shame I don't have time to answer everyone's questions.

@Tasbo1982 Well cheers for taking the time to answer mine :) When I get the sound to work properly I think I'm going to get some kind of stuttering plugin and chop the fuck out of it and see what that gets me. I'm still saving to buy a midi controller, so until then I've got a mouse and a fucktonne of time on my hands. I like being excited about having so much to learn. I play a few different instruments at varying levels of competency, but this electronic stuff is where it's at :) Cheers dude.

@UpFunkDNB The idea is to teach people techniques. I prefer using the performer for rises and sounds that have a linear evolution because I find it quicker and more accurate. That's my preference, but yes you can of course also use the envelope if you prefer. The results are precisely the same.

@WetCabbage316 go to the Native Instruments website ( the company that made Massive) i think its like somewhere around 120 dollars. it DOES NOT matter what program you use as long as you can download VSTs to it, if you want to test it out before actually buying it just look for a demo download. massive is a great program i love it.

umm question, I put all the knobs in exactly the right position on the Massive plugin, the sound worked fine, but as soon as i put the notes in the piano roll the sound doesn't work properly? its just sort of a screech with no bend whatsoever? it like the piano roll refuses to enable the LFO.. help?

@fmitchell959 If you are using FL Studio, the loop must be playing for Massive's tempo synced LFOs. Hopefully that helps.

@fmitchell959 I have the same problem sometimes. I just set the Sync to off and use the Rate knob in the LFOs. It's a bit more work, but it works and you can get a wider range out of them

@xjustxforxkicksx These presets all work on version 1.1.5 and later so they definately work on 1.2.1 and both on mac and pc. You can check what version of massive you have by clicking on the passive logo in the opened programme.

@DJZaXiade ignore that guy he is being a fucking prick. massive is a plugin you would need some sequencer/DAW such as FL, logic, cubase, or reaper. since you have said you have FL you should look up where the vst/rtas directory is on your comp I do not have a PC so I cannot help you with that sorry man but just simple look up on google "how to use massive in fl studio" hope I was of help to you.

Ableton will quantize these basslines to any BPM. These aren't specifically dubstep sounds, you could put them over a hiphop, house, or D&B beat
