Its hard to find any of their music anymore. I had a step brother in law that i only met once he worked for a radio station, and at my step sisters wedding he gave me a dubbed tape of these guys and it opened a new realm of alternative music for me. To bad these guys did go farther and still produced they were good. At least their music will never die.
I figure these guys were spending a lot of time in their van, going from town to town. Learning how to sleep in the back of a van sitting up (or laying down, hardly a difference in the back of a van) is an art unto itself. However, put these guys on a stage and they played like they had just had an eight hour sleep in some luxury hotel somewhere. True road dogs were these guys. Great f 'in band too.
Awesome group. I played with the sax player in highschool. He was great then as he is now. Lost contact with him, I'm in the Marines. I have the Where'd You Get That Vibe CD. I took it to Iraq with me. Whish they were still playing together. Still a loyal fan!
I remember seeing these guys live way back in like the 90s right before they started touring with DMB. There were only about 80 people at a show in a theater in Virginia. Good times back then! Anyone still possess the Where'd You Get That Vibe CD?
... would have been nice to know there was live tracking going on for their set. thanks much for the post. & does this mean there is video of this entire set?
Great video. I've really enjoyed catching the guys at Alley Katz during their sporadic shows over the past couple years -- they've still got it, man. You can get great soundboard recordings online at the Live Music Archive.
Hey... if you have a complete video copy of this performance I will send you a DVD or VHS to get a copy... This much have been from like 1996 or so when they where touring with The Dave Matthews Band... I used to go down to Alley Katz every Wednesday and watch AGR.... I miss them So much... Thanks for the post... it is a great video!!
Wow, great quality! This must be an amphitheater screen feed. Jakob has everything I love about AGR: the hook at the beginning, the harmonies on the chorus, the imagery in the lyrics. Heaven to me.

I think this is from the 1998 DMB tour. I was the VA Beach show. However I was 13... These guys were damn good. It's a shame they didn't survive.
