I'm still building a 00 guage circular track with "hills" on each side made from shredded cork (that works surprisingly well for rock effects) for artificial snow to gather in. Already got a battery-powered loco to push a specially-built rotary plow (made from a hand-held mini-fan mounted on wheels) to blow the snow, which ought to have settled by the time the plow-train comes back round the track to it. Fingers crossed it works!
I'm new to this stuff. Do the trains run on batteries, with radio control? I wouldn't think you could feed current through the rails under wet or snowy conditions.
Hey I love it!!!! I think somebody has been playing a lot! I laughed when it came to the doggy door, thats almost funny! At least this thing doesnt shit and bark!
That must be a pretty strong engine to push that plow through that deep solid snow I also noticed that the camera paused numerous times and skipped to a different scene and the train must have got stuck there and you must have paused the camera and gave the train a push and played the camera again.
That is truly awesome! I sent the link to my 4 & 7 year old grandsons as well. I'm sure they will look at many, if not all of your videos. They love trains. New subscriber.....
the funniest part of the whole thing is that this guy was probably giddy with excitement at the prospect of this activity. GIDDY ! :) then it goes in the dog door to the house and hides.
I can just hear those poor people standing on the passenger depot platform cussing at the MOW crew, at the 1:44 mark when the plow went by and buried them.
thats awesome, but, imagine, when you get a bad winter, those poor little model people get it even worse, i bet sometimes it even covers their homes. Poor poor miniature people....
what kind of diesels are these? they seem to be EMD SD7s. out of curiosity, would a couple of live steam 2-10-2s or 2-10-4s do as good a job clearing the line as these diesels?
@greenarcticcat400 the live steam versions weigh about twice as much as the electric versions. EX: a C&O H-8 Allegheny weighs 41 lbs. as a live steam locomotive, but an electrically powered 2-8-4 Berkshire may weigh only 10-12 lbs. **the weight of the Berkshire is an estimate**
Very nice! 5 stars and favorited. I have a rotary but it doesn't work well in deep snow or wet snow. It can get clogged very easily. Amazing layout too. I like how it can go into the house. No more taking the trains off the tracks when its going to rain or snow.
Absolutely amazing!. Must have some serious HP pushing that plow. If you leave your train running during a storm do you have problems with the rails icing up?
awsome
