@MrQuickSqueez It doesn't make a huge difference, but it might make things easier to choose a major that shares some of the same requirements/recommended coursework of medical schools such as orgo, biochem, physics, etc. Graduating with a simple major with a higher GPA is much more favorable than a difficult major with a lower GPA. I stuck with biology... but heck, people get in with any major from music to Spanish to whatever else you can imagine.

@CrazyK87 I am declaring a biochemistry major. It's difficult but if they say med school and the MCAT is difficult then its excellent preperation in my opinon! Physics-calculus = MCAT Physical Science, biological sciences Mastery, with chemistry as a bonus. T_T

@KaTieZCrAZyCasTZ You're on the right track. DO schools teach the exact same thing as MD schools, but they also add on an extra class called OMM (also known as OMT). You can google it, but it's basically an assortment of the most medically-relevant hands-on techniques, some of which seem chiropractic in nature to the lay person. DO schools also try to train us to practice more holistically, in other words, to view and treat the person as a whole, and not simply their symptoms. Hope this helped!
