First of all, if you die and are a shinigami, than if people you know see you walking around in the open (you, someone who is SUPPOSED to be dead) then wouldn't that cause a bit of a ruckus?

And if you kill a shinigami, where does it go? Why would it even be possible to make a shinigami bleed if it's already dead?

The being-seen-by-people-you-knew-­in-life thing is dealt with in vol. 6 of the manga (the explanation is an accident that needed a long recovery and bad communication), although I have to admit that the person being lied to would have to be pretty gullible.

As for where dead shinigami go, they move right on along with all the other souls who die and *don't* become shinigami or ghosts or something.
