@RMProdux2008 I on't believe all of them were killed off because when the Europeans came to the Americas they found many Black native Americans. The Danzantes stone carving, show many multilated negroes so we know some were massacred. Also, if you look at the sub-pyramids of many Mayan temples you find smaller pyramids with Olmec iconography so we do know the Maya took over many Olmec sights.
Also, I don't believe any researcher believes that the Maya are descendants of the Olmecs.

Europeans came and today they are the majority. These Europeans do not carry native Am genes eventhough we know the Native Am were the first settlers of the US--today the US is a European country.

are you saying thats what happened with the olmecs and the people of mexico now? the cultures after the olmecs eradicated the olmecs and oppressed them? i thought the mayans were decendants of the olmecs. why dont the mayans look african? i thought the story was ancient africans sailed over the ocean arrived in what is mexico today & established a civilization. i would imagine only a very few africans made it over or was it a mass migration? i imagine only a few since there is no majority today.

@RMProdux2008 I on't believe all of them were killed off because when the Europeans came to the Americas they found many Black native Americans. The Danzantes stone carving, show many multilated negroes so we know some were massacred. Also, if you look at the sub-pyramids of many Mayan temples you find smaller pyramids with Olmec iconography so we do know the Maya took over many Olmec sights.
Also, I don't believe any researcher believes that the Maya are descendants of the Olmecs.

@RMProdux2008 I think that this video is disputing that the Olmecs were black. He is saying that any black features that you see in Mexicans 2day were from slave trade admixture. Mexico imported few slaves from Africa during colonial times. They were mostly mixed into the large native and Spanish pop. A few places in Mexico still have communities of people who clearly look black or mixed. He saying this has nothing to do with Olmecs as some people claim. I have no opinion on the matter myself.

The true Mayans were descendants of The Olmecs(Nuwbuns/Nubians) and the original Chineses, the black/Negroid Chinese. So Olmec + Black Chinese= Mayans. I don't totally agree with this video, but I agree when they said the Olmecs were African. Which they were but the Mayans are there children. They Migrated to the area known as south america today and they brought with them rubber tree plants and planted them in South America. Olmec means "the rubber land" because of the rubber trees. I'm so glad the truth is starting to come out about so many things. I always knew my Mexican brothers and sisters had african ancestry. @BayAreaBum There are Africans who have slanted eyes such as the Himba tribe of Namibia. Even the Khoisan aka Bushmen have slanted eyes. Slanted eyes originated in Africa & is based more on environment. Just think about it, if U are in a hot sunny environment with no sun glasses then you will have to squint your eyes & after awhile it becomes part of the phenotype then passed down genetically. Africans are the most diverse genetic ethnic group which is why they have have various phenotypes.
