They had gone to a planet where they had did just that - blocked out the sun w/ pollution and created another ice age. You don't have to take my word for it, it was the "science" of the time. Go check it out for yourself, if you're interested.

"scientists have discovered..." and so often it's lazy reporters who haven't actually read the paper properly and are misrepresenting what it says.

@DickLodge68 recently there was a paper was published which showed that the Himalayan glaciers had 30% less ice melt per year than expected, since they haven't been able to accurately record this until now. However, the paper also said there was still an overall glacier ice melt globally. So the Mail wrote a short paragraph about this at the end, and then every other lazy reporter copied it missed it out, until the headline became something like "scientists discover glaciers are not melting"

He accomplished so much more economically. Obama has been far from active all his years. You can use Obama-care as an example, but if it was so good, why did Congress pass a different plan, and exclude themselves from it?

@baseballjoshg1 Well, I think everyone agrees on that public spending is out of control. But it is like an entity that grows, when Pentagon doubles their budget they want more. Everyone wants more. But now it is ENOUGH and Congress needs to cut spending. Regarding that point I see Republicans as a positive thing because they will not sanction increased spending. I wonder if Moody´s will reduce USAs credit rating?? That will be interesting... they are ALL about the money..

This is the only thing Ron Paul and I agree on, we need to back the dollar with gold and silver. In not doing so, the dollar is a theoretical value that our government is responsible for regulating.

@ranndino Here's some facts....the Earth goes through many climatic changes over millennia. The "world's greatest scientists" don't have many answers to many things (like explain gravity, or where did all the matter in the universe come from?) In the 70's, scientists believed that pollution would block out the Sun and we'd go into another ice age. We can theorize and speculate all we want. But those aren't facts or truths. The fact is that "Global Warming" scares have made people very rich.

@DickLodge68 whenever you hear "scientists say" it's nearly always one scientist has said one thing, and then some slimy reporter has mis-quoted and mis-represented what they said to turn it into a sensation story. They don't care about facts, just good stories. If you've been getting your science from the papers, or some guy at the pub, or even your friends it's probably inaccurate. If you want facts, read peer-reviewed science papers.

They had gone to a planet where they had did just that - blocked out the sun w/ pollution and created another ice age. You don't have to take my word for it, it was the "science" of the time. Go check it out for yourself, if you're interested.

@DickLodge68 No listen, just because they have a science section mean they actually report what scientists say. All the time you see reports in papers that say something like "scientists say..." "scientists have discovered..." and so often it's lazy reporters who haven't actually read the paper properly and are misrepresenting what it says.
Time magazine is NOT reliable when it comes to science, because it is NOT peer-reviewed science journel.

@DickLodge68 recently there was a paper was published which showed that the Himalayan glaciers had 30% less ice melt per year than expected, since they haven't been able to accurately record this until now. However, the paper also said there was still an overall glacier ice melt globally. So the Mail wrote a short paragraph about this at the end, and then every other lazy reporter copied it missed it out, until the headline became something like "scientists discover glaciers are not melting"

Our real problem is the privately owned Federal Reserve which has been at the bottom of corruption in our political system since 1913. Our government pays interest to a privately owned bank that simply prints the money out of thin air. Essentially, it's taxation without representation!! We don't even know who the owners of the Fed are, they could all be non US citizens, it's quite scary!
