  • Awesome vid. I turned 21 the same day they announced what the name of the new ballpark would be; July of 1991. Found out what OPACY meant while drinking my first legal beer.

  • Tony Pagnotti!!!!!! Ken Phillips!!!!!!

  • @LanceLongwood Tony Pagnotti is married to someone I went school with.

  • 4:23 haha 4400 is a more likely attendance number for oriole games now days too bad nice ballpark there didnt they used to fill that place up a lot ?

  • Wow, this video is so cool.

I was 8 when Camden Yards opened.

Now I take this light rail and go to Camden Yards all the time.

  • Wow. that dude has been on the news for a long ass time.

  • $1.50 to $4.75 for food at the stadium?!?!? Someone, bring me a time machine!!!

  • Now the 12th Oldest ballpark in Baseball, next year it will move up to 11th Oldest with the opening of the new Twins stadium and in 2012 it will move up to 10th Oldest (And it will be 20 years Old!)

  • Damn was that a young Stan Stoval? lol

  • where is kurt sheffnocker?

  • so stupid moving the stadium downtown...wish they would of just rebuilt memorial and kept it where it belongs.

  • it was not stupid..it was revolutionary..it was the move from the suburbs back to the city that represents the team. it pretty much revolutionized sports gaming.

  • Stupid?

Better atmosphere, better location, easier access, nicer views...

What...do you have to drive a little longer to get to the game now? Boo hoo.

  • It's not stupid. Did you ever stop to think of how much it would cost to even renovate or rebuild Memorial Stadium? Certainly a lot more than it is to build a newer baseball-only facility! Let's face it, Memorial Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium with more seats than what was needed. They had to move, it was only a matter of time. Just be grateful the team is still in Baltimore, they could have moved to Washington if attendance didn't go up in the 1979 season!

  • true

  • Who eats their hot dog AT the concession stand? lol

  • Here's some O's trivia you probably can't google...who hit the first homerun at Camden Yards? I was there for it, in the nose bleeds.

  • Paul Sorrento
