@shawn4201111 The Katana's can be had for around 120USD. The Bamboo I think are around 140USD and the Yoroi are 170 or so. Prices vary so these are the average prices that I remember.
@CannabisDelux Yeah it is a shame that MCUSTA didn't give you the option. What's more is that the clip and liner are one piece so it's not even removable. But for the price it's not bad at all.
@darkchild57 true, i think it is just weird they make a ''katana knife'' an not make it a tactical knife since we all know what a katana was used for. i am looking at the Take atm, i hope the biggest knife retailer here in holland has one as a show model so i can hold it for my self. they look good but for that money i want to be a 100% sure :)
I wonder why in the yoroi model they did not match the liner lock holes with those on the handle. The holes are square and don't match the handle rhombuses... hmmm, it adds a nice touch.
@Blutquell I've always wondered the same thing. It didn't look right to me when I first got it. Now I don't even notice it anymore:) thanks for watching!
@Ni83co MCUSTA's are not meant to be fast open. These are more gent's knives not tactical. I have been able to open my Katana with a wrist flick but it won't be as quick as your ZT. The other two featured in this vid are too small for me to get a good enough grip for a wrist flick. As for razor sharp, all the MCUSTA's I've owned (as demonstrated in this vid) are extremely sharp straight from factory.
nice light and macro's, very good review of fantastic knives. Good selection of mcusta ! you could go for a 'tactility damas' model : size is a bit longer and are just the stylishlest and verstatilest 'tacticool' knives around. the 'bamboo' model is cocobolo handle and exist with african ebony also. the comparaison with benchmade - or spyderco - just scream that there is room for 'real' knives in these times. thanks for sharing, good job
@metropolitan6C Thank you for watching:) I'm glad you like the presentation! I have been looking into the Tactility line. I'm not sure when I'll get one but it may be soon with this Holiday season:)
The Bamboo is pretty unique and nice looking though I think the Damascus bolsters might not stand up to the high humidity and heat of the tropics. It seems to be tip-up only.
@mesoscopic Thanks! The Bamboo was one of the first few models from them to feature bolsters. I really like that classy style it lends to the overall package. The Bamboo is only tip up, left and right carry only. At least they gave two carry options... most other companies restrict it to one. Thanks for watching!
Just came across this brand today and you hapen to have two of my favoured models, great review. When I save some more money definitely going to buy at least on. thx for the upload!.
@DJJimCowley yeah definitely check out MCUSTA's site. They have better hi rez photos of their knives. They usually have small folders, the Katana being their largest size. They have a wide variety of handle types as well. I think they are a great value for money because they just look more expensive than they really are:)
@yukiotakata Thanks! Lol, I'll happily take the blame for you buying a MCUSTA! I think they are very worth it. And the pricing is very reasonable considering the craftsmanship and quality you're getting. Let me know what you think when you get the knife!
@pwrmek Thanks for watching! I've wanted to show them like this for a while so people can see how small some of their knives are. But more importantly the craftsmanship that goes into each one.
@fr76ank Thank you:) I'm always happy to hear that my vids are helpful in any way! Definitely pick one up if you get a chance, you won't be disappointed. They are very sharp and very good bang for your buck. Thanks for watching!
Mcusta make a lot (most I expect) of the Japanese-made Spydercos so that's why you get that same out of the box sharpness! G Sakai also make some Spydies.
Great collection of Mcusta knives man. I got the black and teal katana from watching the last video you did, and I was not disappointed. It's really nice. Next I'm looking to get one of the takes and the kamons. Thanks for sharing.
@Itachi810 You color version of the Katana was the one I wanted but at that time New Graham didn't have that one in stock. I was thinking of getting the blue/violet one for my girl. I really like the Take, specifically the classic damascus version. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful knives. I checked out their website just real quick and was surprised by the amount of different knives they offer. My latest interest is in small fixed blades of which I own none. They seem to have some nice choices in that category as well.
@seti351 MCUSTA's have a lot to offer and their prices don't really break the bank as well in terms of quality and build as compared to other knives. I'm looking forward to owning a limited knife from them. I'm not really into fixed blades but I'm slowly going in that direction. I've been eyeing the RC-3.
@fredde90210 I love their knives! They make some very beautiful pieces. They are more works of art than knives to me in some cases. I'm looking forward to picking up some more knives from them:)
Gonna have to start saving my nickels and dimes. These close ups and size comparisons are going to help my decision a lot. Thanks again, appreciate it!
@ZippoThisKnifeThat You're very welcome! If the vid helps, I'm glad to make it! MCUSTA's are very cool in that their knives aren't really that expensive in comparison to other brands. You really feel like you got a lot of knife for the money. The Katana is just over 100$ and it looks really beautiful. Most of their production folders are under 200$USD. Only their limited runs go into the 400$ USD ranges. Thanks for watching and take care!
the first thing i thought of was "me gusta".
