  • @letiziaytito another thing you are an asshole for insulting the master alirio diaz. what do you possibly know about venezuelan guitar music?

  • @letiziaytito i disagree alirio diaz version is very powerfull musically and garrido's version very musical. i like both versions better

  • would this be a good piece for university? itss dificultt for me because im a metal rock jazz guy and just started learnig some clasical but for a days work its actualy came prety well for this piece

  • Sorry for the stupid question, but how do you manage to maintain the excellent position of the guitar without (as far as I can see) the use of any cushions or supports?

    Impeccable performance, by the way.

    Luned

  • @lunedthomas It's called a GITANO guitar support. It's great.

Bravo!

  • thnx for the vid, it really helps me while i'm learning this. i'm still very young so i need all the help i can get..

  • kis csalással de jó:)

  • amazing

  • excelente

  • floating guitar, amazing rendition, impeccable timing, and accents. love it.

  • Everything Per Olov plays sounds amazing. But the final note on this lovely waltz just hangs there on its own when all other sounds from the guitar having finished...

That single note alone is so beautiful!

  • Nothing like a venezuelan vals!!

  • Exelente

  • awsome

  • the D major in 3rd bar of this piece is so hard to blend in like he does, just sounds so major and annoying, really pissing me off lol

  • i'm a classical guitar student trying to learn this piece, and i thought it would be a good idea if i searched this on youtube for clues on how to play this, but...

EVERYONE PLAYS THIS WAY TOO FAST FOR REFERENCE!!!!!!!

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA <:0

but thanks for uploading this anyways. as always, the performance was great.

  • @strawberriemilk In case you're still trying to learn it, iVideosongs has a video-lesson on how to learn it for sale on their website. Their videos are very well made, and I highly reccomend them.

  • @Torfinnmadssen thanks to practicing and listening persistently to this video, I got the gist of it down :P

    I appreciate your offer, though.

  • OH MY GOD!!! Now you are getting to my Spanish heart! I love these valses; I used to play a couple, and various Lauro, and others, until I had a stroke! I had just learned Sunburst, when WHAM!!! Anyway, please don't rush the last part. You play it very well, but that part, being so sweet and lyrical, should be a little slower, with romance and passion! Just sayin', lol...

  • I'm a metalhead, but I cannot stop listening to this videos.

  • Thanks a lot!

I wish you a Merry Christmas and a musical 2011!

  • Q COMPOSITOR DE GUITARRA! ME ENCANTA ANTONIO LAURO!

  • One of the best guitarrist of youtube ... perfect

  • one of the bets guitarrist of youtube ... perfect :)

  • Very great......!!!!Love it

  • Excellent!!

  • lovely!!!

  • Muy bonito y bien tocado.

  • This looks rly hard to play but it sounds awesome

  • Thank you for sharing your fine rendition of this lovely, graceful piece, my very favorite in all the classical guitar repertory. I first heard it played by Andres Segovia on a very old Decca LP (on which for some odd reason the piece was titled "Dance from Venezuela", probably by some unknowledgeable producer).

A compliment from Natalia herself is high praise indeed!

  • Peo, In this piece you should ask your self about what means and what it is representative. Is a vals, then you should play more more legato, specially the 3rd part and this one, more slow.

Take a review also at the ritme, we cannot dance under you playing, for example.

I every herad yours plays, and they are very beautiful and with a lot of sense. Therefore, at this one I only tried to help you in front this piece.

Thanks a lot Peo, continue your artistry!!

  • @llp0001 Yes, as some purists say. Vals must be played in a way that it CAN be danced. Its like a golden rule of vals interpretation.

  • Beautiful playing Peo

Congratulation, that clean your ejecution very nice. my english no is very good

  • great job. I am working on this piece so I love that I can use this for reference! Not a fan of the b harmonic at the beginning of the piece, but that is not your fault.

  • amazing! i have learnt the pernembuco piece " sons de ch..."(cant spell it :P) i think i might learn this one next!

  • You just play that piece so beautiful.... It's exelent in every way...

  • I notice some fingerings are different... I have an edition fingered by Barbosa Lima... his arrangement doesnt have the B harmonic on the 12th fret... which edition is this? Much appreciarted!

  • Love it !*****

Especially the way you play it ;-)

    cheers from germany

    manuel

  • Wow! How long did it take you to put that together?

  • Peo, would you mind telling me how your supporting your guitar... clearly it is not on your leg... but I see no brace... are you holding it somehow?!

  • Hi. I use a GITANO. Great little thingy :-) Make a search guitar support gitano...

    Good luck!

    Per-Olov

  • @clearlynotstefan

you could also try to hold it like a spanish gitano in which there is no brace and the support is created by just the one who holds the guitar.

  • beautifully played, the second part is intended to sound more melodic, though

  • When I started playing guitar at 7 my teacher gave me a cd with amazing guitar pieces and I've always dreamed of playing them! Now I'm 15 and I learned them all exept from one which title I didnt know... Now I found it thanks to you and I'm gonna finally learn it :)

    Thanks!

  • so which were the other pieces? I'd like to present such a inspiring cd to my pupils as well :)

  • well, it was austurias, villa lobos preludes 1 and 5, valse venezolano 3, caprico arabe, adelita, reguerdos de l alhabra, rumores de la caleta, el vito, romance and some greek songs (since i'm greek) from greek guitartists...

  • Bravo!!!

  • Eccellente esecuzione. Grande Peo!!!

  • hello mister kidgren

    congratulations!

i very like of the your interpretation

    my name is rodrigo

    life in brazil

    and love guitar

    congratulations

Saludos a Angamarca, Cotopaxi. Islas Borrachas, edo. Anzoátegui.

  • Ecuatoriana?

  • ¡Excelente!

  • WOW, another fine work of art from Peo, you inspire as always!

  • buena interpretacion de verdad exelente

  • I really like your interpretations!

  • You are really awesome.

  • MAESTRO!!!

  • Lo felicito, excelente interpretacion.

  • Perfect, perfect, perfect technique. Period.

  • 5 stars

  • I've listened many performances about this awesome piece, from Antonio Lauro's repertorie, and let me tell you this is one of the most beautiful and perfect interpretation of it. We appreciate you for sharing this video with us, music lovers and also to your comment about this Venezuelan great composer, (I'm not from Venezuela, but I would be proud of been one) I rated whit 5 (because there's not more than) set this video on my fav's and of course subscribe to it. Thank's again MAESTRO!

  • grande mr. per-olov!

  • Qué hermosuraaa!!!

Gracias por hacerlo conocer. Me encantó y me lo guardo.

  • great........thank you........excellent tecnic........from venezuela

  • EXCELLENT ! THANKS FROM VENEZUELA

  • Thank you for posting this video, and recognizing Antonio Lauro's music.

I am from Venezuela and admired Mr. Lauro since I heard him playing this song when I about 8 years old.

    Have a great week!

  • hahahahhaa he has the same problem as i do: the insane streching in the middle. 0:37

  • can you send me the partiture of Vals venezuline N° 3 please?

  • You are great my friend!!

  • Que pieza tan hermosa

  • hermosa musica :D

  • You are wonderful playing guitar!!!

  • You are a great artist and musician. The wide variety and sheer number of songs you have on youtube is great not only for listeners, but for aspiring guitarists Your versions are what i look for first when trying to learn a new piece. Thanks

  • You've just about paid the highest compliment you could possibly have made.

    And I agree totally.

His style and high quality clean results are what other guitarists aspire to, but so seldom actually achieve.

  • maravilhoso!

Grande Maestro!

    Saludos!

  • Just beautiful

  • Just beautiful!!!!

  • Wow.. Just amazing.. THis song is really really hard to play and yet you make it look so easy.. Im impressed!!

  • wow....ur guitar sounds very good.....n made the feeling of venezuela vals.....

  • tremendous - you take me back to Venezuela - Sr. Lauro must be appreciated and you certainly seem to do so in a grand way

  • very well, dont pay attention to stupid words, your palying its good, im proud of hear those note from somebody from other place.

  • I don't think any negative comments could bother him much after having Natalia tell him that this was how her father ( Antonio Lauro ) liked this song to be played.

    What an honor!

  • Fasen Peo!

  • when you start playing the ending of the 2nd section, you need to seperate the 3 voices from each other, then when you come out with the 3rd section, the melody needs to be a clear voice over the bass part, right now it sounds like your just tryin to hit the notes. No offence.

  • lol asianodarby you must be an expert judging by the zero videos you have uploaded.

  • You've just taken some tears out. You played this vals way more beautiful than I thought you could do despite you're a master. I love the music of my country and you've just made feel proud of A. Lauro once again. Muchas gracias.

  • =D You play it with so much feelings, and it sounds amazing. Muchas gracias por subir este video.

  • beautyfull play Venezuelan music is so nice

  • Hey 1917 is the year Finland became independent! :) Very nice piece! Vackert!

    Hilsen

  • May i know what guitar that you use for play??

  • try weed´s classical guitar page, google it

  • where can I obtain a stand such as the one Peo uses for the left leg? Thanks

  • Hi. It'a a GITANO. I get it from trekel(de) but make a search for it...

    It's a great little thing...

    Per-Olov

  • Greetings from Venezuela.

Per are you planning on visiting us (performing included) anytime soon? To Antonio Lauros' land :)

  • Hola!

I hope to go there some day!!... it depends on my girlfriend really. But it's rather dangerous there now, I have heard... I love Lauro's music! And Venezuelans! Viva venezuela!

    Per-Olov

  • wow, thank you so much!

  • Thank you! Please keep listening.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Yes! - I can play it now! Ok, not quite as well as you and I still need to practice more but essentially I got the hang of it now from watching this video! Peo, thank you very much for teaching us amateur guitarists here on the internet - you sure do pile up lots of good karma (or whatever you like to believe in). I learned now several Lauro pieces from you - thanks a lot! Its great music which I might not have aquired without your inspiring help. Keep up the good effort, many appreciate it!

  • Congratulations!! I am so happy for you. Isin't it fun?

I am glad you can "use" me for learning this music. I hope to post more Lauro soon. I love his music.

    Keep playing!

    Per-Olov

  • I just love how do u play Lauro's...

I love it! Im learning Vals no.2

    Thanks for sharing (:
