This story was not one of my favourites, and when the dreaded Vivian Fay starts to poo her pants it is funny and she is in reality Cessair of Diplos and her demise could have been done better in in billions of ways and it should have had cessair when turned into stone then disintegrated and serve the evil cow right.
Those stone monsters always scared me with their SFX, and it's the thing I remember best about this story. The scene where they kill the couple must rate as one of the most disturbing ever in Who history. Stones of Blood is one of my favourite Who stories - that is, until those justice machines turn up. Boy, are they ANNOYING!
This was my favourite Doctor Who story. It's the one storyline i could never forget. Those stones aren't anywhere near as big as i remembered them being though!
