  • lol i use empire all the time i go all navy so allies air can't really do anything and sovites ter 2 units can't do shit caz all my base is on water then use showguns to take there man out after which use sky wings to kill any other secondary bases in which they may have

  • I used Fraps to record the video, and Goldwave in the background to record my audio. I then used Windows Movie Maker to combine the audio and video files so that they were synced together. Thanks for viewing!

  • All three factions are great, but it mainly depends on what you like. In my opinion, I think each of the factions is BEST in a certain area, but they're still great all around if played well. For example, here is how I see it:

    Allies - Air; Soviets - Ground; Empire - Sea

    This doesn't mean the Allies never win on the ground or the Soviets never win in the air, though, so don't look at it that way! These are just where each faction has some of its better units IMO. They're all good though.

  • i can actually PLACE structures i dont have to use nodes to do it plust the soviets and allies air force navy and ground forces are better in my opinion

  • The Empire probably has the steepest learning curve because of the fact that buildings have to be deployed and so many of their units have secondary abilities that need to be activated in order to achieve their max potential.

    Mecha Tengus, as a great example, can go in and shoot up enemy harvesters with their machine guns, then transform into jets (meant for anti-air) and fly away to safety if they don't have any anti-air defenses. The Empire definitely takes some getting used to.

  • That's cool. I'm not a huge Empire fan myself. The base building is too tedious in my opinion, and not having bears/dogs to deter early engineer rushes is a little annoying.

    The Allies and Soviets are both great to play as anyways, though. I think the Soviets are probably the easier of the two to get used to (look at terror drones and their secondary ability - PWNAGE! - plus they can swim!) and have some badass units.

  • They aren't homing because if I remember correctly you can move out of their way after they fire. They do tons of damage, however, and can wreck anything in their path in a matter of seconds.

  • no there v4 rockets like the mobile v4 rocket launcher made rom soviet war factories but the dreadnaughts have greater range

  • About the exact same as those for C&C 3. If you could run C&C 3, you'll run this with no problems.

  • hey that was me (just kidding i just started today and i only played ERS (empire of the rising sun) so far

  • Empire of the Rising Sun is tough to play as because of the way you must 'micro manage' their builder units . . it can be tough to locate them sometimes, but they're a really good faction. I think the Soviets are easiest to start with. The Allies are hard to play because without your Air Force, you're often hurting. They have some badass air units though, and some nice ground units as well!

  • so your saying i should go with soviets right now but empire is so fun i mean the commando throwing units around and ya i killed like 25 units for the one omega yea and the whole transformer type units and the burst drone and the shinobi and sudden transport and the king oni and everything i mean the empire of the rising sun is so fun

  • You don't necessarily have to go with the Soviets, but I think they're probably easiest to play with early on because you have bears and can easily harass with terror drones, even in the sea. But hey, the Empire has some bad ass units and is a force to reckon with as well. Heck, all three factions are tough if played correctly!

  • Yeah my opponent was fairly new, especially not saving his MCV which could have been done easily by moving it on land. Oh well, you live you learn.
