  • Thanks Kwai Chi!

I enjoyed the tour very much. By any chance, do you happen to know approximately where the old "Tottlenham Court Road Chapel" was located?

I have ancestors who were married there in 1873. They lived on Whitfield St..

    Cheers from Rochester, New York

    Cliff Williams

  • CEX also do laptops and mobile phones and graphics cards etc.

  • i hate those ads

  • @xpressme21 the pre roll ads?

  • @kwaichi obsolutely

  • @xpressme21 i didn't put them there

  • @kwaichi LOL i know dude =))

  • Thanks, Kwaichi..

    I love it...

Did you do the filming from Tottenham Court Road station (Center Point) to Warren Street Station on the other side of the road as well?

The park close to Goodge Street Station (in the north of the station) is quite interesting. I learned that Boy George used to hang out there prior to his Culture Club days....

  • I only covered this side TCR from this side of the road. I've got plenty of other roads though :)

  • wow the subtitles are really bad you should take them off but yeah TCR is my hangout with my mates too =P

  • I didn't make any subtitles. Regent Street is now up :)

  • hey this video is cool.. reminds me of my college days in London 15 years ago..

I used to hang out at that casino place..

    playing arcade video games though..

    I never gamble..

those days in the 1990's they carry one of the most complete arcade videogames around..

haha the KFC where I used to eat lunches having spent hours playing arcade games is still there too.. amazing.. what memories..

that small park next to goodge street tube station where I used to sit my w girl,

  • Wow - it's amazing what different places mean to different people. Have a great xmas and new year!

  • @kwaichi

    sorry I forgot to say...

cheers for this video mate.. :P

    warm regards from singapore//

  • It's just another mad tourist in london :)

  • haha lol right XD

  • Hey, be careful about making sweeping statements about Mr Topper's ! ! !

  • ok i will be more careful in future

  • i used to live here,so nostalgic,LONDON IS THE BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD,THERE ISNT ANY BETTER,I MISS IT MORE THAN ANYTHING EVER!!!!

thanks a lot for the video, brings back the memories

  • no problems pal :)

  • Slot machines used to be called "fruit machines" in U.K., but never in U.S.

  • one arm bandits?

  • Yep, still called "one arm bandits" in U.S., also. I like your vids. You have found what I found about London Restaurants though, a lot of rubbish, overpriced ones, with a really good one here and there. I frequently eat in pubs while in London, not too good, not too bad, and the price is usually reasonable. I usually stay at the Metropole on Edgware Rd., there are a few good places in that area, but you have to know where, as there is a lot of rubbish there, as well.

  • i usually recommend people to stay in the suburbs with fast train into london as the rooms are nicer and cheaper unless they're after spending thousands in which case they can stay in mayfair.

  • i stayed at the st giles hotel not far from tottenham court tube ( a minute away)

me and my girlfriend got lost a minutes journey turned into a full hour and a half !!

so kno wher ure going !!

  • yeah it definitely helps to know where to go! :)

  • How close is Tottenham Court Road to Oxford St.?

My hotel will be on Tottenham Court Road. If I wanted to visit Harrod's, is it a good walk, from Tottenham?

  • Tottenham Ct Rd crosses the eastern end of Oxford St.

Knightsbridge? One HECK of a walk, mate. As the crow flies, it's over 3.5 km, so a crow would go 7 klicks there and back. You would walk almost twice as far as there are no roads that go off in that direction. I'm not saying it can't be done; you'd be walking through 2 major shopping areas (Oxford St. and Knightsbridge) so if you like people-watching, you'll be stoked. Otherwise, take the bus to Marble Arch and change for Knightsbridge.

  • Tottenham is a different part of london to Tottenham court road! Be careful if you ask for directions :) Harrods is walkable but it'll take a while. Head towards marble arch and cross straight through hyde park and kensington gardens and you're pretty much there

  • Take the tube, few stations away.

  • Great video! I was there for 1 week ago! My hotel was located right next to Tottenham Court Road, so we used the tube station from there!

  • which tube station? Warren street?

  • No, we used the Tottenham Court Road station of course! xD

  • lolz good location :)

  • Great videos! How about places to eat in london, seeing as you already told us where NOT to eat...

  • I did that before and then the places changed management and then the food was rubbish. It seems to happen a lot in London.

  • Going to london next week. I'll pay a visit to Tottenham Court Road, definitely! =)

  • how was it then?

  • oh man your videos are so addictive . . . Maybe you could do some with greenwitch?

  • will do. it's on my list

  • I will be in London in 2 days... i am so excited!

  • ah TCR, those were the days :)

  • It's an ever changing landscape. I don't see much of a future for those guys

  • I will visit that place...SOMEDAY

  • It's a cool place to be! :)

  • I would love one day to come to your loverly country. It's the one place I didn't get to when I was in Europe. I had a choice, kinda chilly in London, or warm in Madrid.. guess what i picked :), but I wanted to go.. maybe next time ( when I actually have that thing called money ).

  • let me know when you do so i can give you a tour

  • That's so sweet of you !!! You rock :)

  • I ifnd that the kind of electronics in TCR arnt so fresh : L often products have creased packing and stuff...
