Not trying to knock the way your doing it, but dont you wanna dig the perimeter (On the sides) first then remove the middle for a much cleaner hole instead of just digging? I made a (bench) step down for a barn burial so I could get niice a deep and not wory about anything popping up in a few years.

@duane2072 Well at that point I think I had about 5 hours of seat time in an excavator. I now have about 1000hours. I do things differently now that I have a better idea of what I'm doing. I look at these videos and the terrible bucket angles, slow cycle time and total random digging and cringe. At least I've improved.

Man im a huge fan of CASE. I even have a model cx210 trackhoe (acually I have 2). My dad owns a construction company and his favorite machine is his backhoes, simply because they can do so much.All of his backhoes r CASE's and ive been on them since I was 3 and im 16 now so im half way decent o them (by them I mean all of his machines not just backhoes). I love operating (and yea people its called operrating not runing a machine) an kind of construction equiptment.

I like Cat's too. Probably my first or second choice after a Volvo. But we can get ag service rates from Case. 65$/hour is a lot better than 125$/hour from Cat.

No. The land the barn is sitting on will be sold in two pieces with two separate houses.

Nope, I'm a farmer, hence the name. HAHA. The barn had to go to sever off the two houses that came with the farm. I really don't want to be a land lord if I don't have to be so the barn had to be razed.
