  • I feel like I'm one of the only people out there that actually LIKES Captain Hammer. >_>

  • Love this song!

  • Weird to see Nathan Fillion play a jackass we actually hate

  • "Everyone's got villains they must face. They're not as cool as mine..."

He called Dr. Horrible cool! Ha, take that, pompous ass of a superhero!

  • @Owiion Not me, he's Castle, damnit. :p

  • I'm sorry... did he say "If you're not a friggen tard"? LMAO!!!

  • One of very few movies where i actually like the bad guy more than the good guy, since the good guy's not all that good. He's a jackass, and Dr. Horrible's a sweetheart.

  • I feel conflict yet inspired...heh, at least it's a hilarious song xD

  • I find it hilarious that this is everyone's Captian Hammer is a Jackass moment when it seems like every superhero has a moment where they are like "you are a hero too". His is just more selfcentered

  • ...strangley enough, this song is both inspirational and horribly degrating. The first time pride and jerkness were combined to form a flawless song.

  • @PotterWeasley2010 That comment is perfect and I couldn't agree more. XD

  • "I hates the homeless...ness problem."

  • @Ulron1 lol thats my fav part in the movie

  • MHMHMWHAHA- - *cut off*

  • @BlueXCanary I was all disappointed when it got cut off..

  • The thing I find so confusing about this song is...I know we're probably supposed to think of Captain Hammer as an egotistical jerk who only cares about himself, but really, when he sings, I don't detect the faintest amount of sarcasm. Yeah, there are some lines that reveal is self-centeredness, but he doesn't try to hide them at all. I have a feeling this entire song is genuine, and he really thinks everyone's a hero.

Just not as cool a hero as he is.

    Which is true.

  • @HypotheticalMuffins I've been thinking about this too. Hell, maybe the whole film is even deeper than it seems: Horrible it's supposed to be the villain, right? But he's charismatic, and Hammer, the supposed hero, is an asshole. Now, look at their intentions: Horrible still wants to conquer the world, however cool he may seem, and Hammer stopped Horrible from attacking the Memorial bridge, so in the end, Horrible is the bad guy and Hammer the hero, but their personalities are not stereotypical

  • hehehhe Mal.

  • I love how at the beginning the song is kinda nice, but then his 'jackassness' shows more and more X)

  • Don't worry, Captain Hammer will save us

    Right Penny!? Right?? ;A;

  • 2 people are scary alcoholic bums

  • I can't believe Penny had sex with this guy? Lol.

  • love the laugh at the end.

  • This movie shows that the villain isn't always the bad guy. Dr. Horrible was definitely the good guy, while Captain Hammer's actually Sergeant Douchebag, because these aren't the hammer.

    The hammer is my penis.

  • Even though he's a jackass with the song, it makes a point.

  • 1 person smells like poo.

  • One person is not a hero in their own way.

  • *unfreezes*

    PUNCH

    WAAAAAAAY!!!!

  • This song is the #1 reason why I think Captain Hammer is a jackass.

  • you and you and mostle me

  • justin bieber disliked this video... he was jealous...

  • Hammer is my hero.

  • Wait a sec; "Everyone's got villains they must face...They're not as cool as mine..."

Did he just call Dr. Horrible.... COOL? :D

  • @NamineTehKyoCatLuvr I thought that too XDDD It must be!!! Lolz :P

  • we totally had sex xD

  • i hate the homeless

... ness problem thaqt plagues our city

  • Oh he's such a wonderful asshole! <3

  • I like how this had the potential to actually be a really uplifting song and then... Hammer killed it. :D

  • Lassie xD

  • Nathan, I love you man. And, you can actually sing too. You're the real deal. :)

  • where did you get this recording? i would love to own it! great quality!

  • @faerieofskye its on itunes

  • I used to hate Hammer as a character but he's grown hugely on me as hilarious. I think I either stopped taking the musical seriously or took it more seriously. I'm not sure which.

  • Hammer was the funniest/most awesome character.

  • "everyone's a hero in their lol"

that's one way to put Horrible's evil laugh...it amuses greatly...

  • Oh god, I love how Hammer ends it perfectly when he pins down Horrible after he's unfrozen. I checked this file with the second half of act 3 and yeah, it matches up greatly.

  • @MikeOShay - Actually, he skipped the word 'own.'

  • @KallimaAwesome No, but that wouldn't fit the timing. I expect the final line was planned as "Everyone's a hero in their way" or something.

  • @MikeOShay - Yeah, but that's the same thing as saying 'everyone's a hero in their own way,' just slightly less well-phrased and understandable. I also don't think the tunes match up.

  • @MikeOShay Well... a couple of seconds after "Slipping" ends, Hammer is able to knock Dr. Horrible out and finally sing the last word, which was, indeed, "WAAAAAAYYY!!!"

  • @Maestrojosh87 ...Hence the first comment I made in this chain of replies.

  • @MikeOShay Oh, I see. I forgot to tag @KalimaAwesome in that reply...

  • @Maestrojosh87 dont forget he sings it while flippin off Dr horrible

  • @runningfatman12 And "Slipping" is Horrible's rebuttal, but he is then knocked out cold by the Hammer.

  • I freaking love this movie!!!!!!!

  • i love how part of dr horribles insane laugh is in the end :D

  • I wish he died instead of Penny...

  • @nywies we all do.

  • @nywies Of course you do. Bu if he died, the movie would be very happy-ending mainstream, which wasn't the point. this way there is a emotional ending that makes this very unique.

  • @nywies Where would the tragedy be in that? What should have happened was that Billy should have spent more time with Penny, she would have talked him out that whole villainy thing, and he would have become a better hero than Hammer.

  • @nywies i dont i love dr.horrible

  • @manga1301 He means Captain Hammer.

  • @nywies We ALL do. :- (

  • You have the best quality videos for this soundtrack. The only problem is that some of them cut off at the end prematurely.

  • @Scheme086 Isn't that part of the musical? If I remember correctly, he gets 'unfrozen' later in the musical and he finishes the song.

then again, it's been a while, so I may be totally wrong.

  • @Ykoahi Yes. He unfreezes and finishes the song. :-)

  • @Ykoahi he does but he doesnt finish he just beeats up dr. horrible.

  • This seriously reminds me of Satan's ballad "Up There" from the South Park movie.

  • I thinks it's cool how the villains and bystander get good songs and the "hero" gets the asshole-ish one.

  • YAY it's the seen where Penny FINALLY realized he's a jackass. xD

  • scene

  • @Kittyanimeluvr90210,

But by that time, it's a little too late.

  • @kittyanimeluvr90210 She did not? Her last words were "Don't worry.. Captain Hammer will save us"

  • @kittyanimeluvr90210 Scene, darling; the proper word is scene ^_^ But yes! I love it too, except for the part where he was a jackass and she got embarrassed :P
