I was recently asked what song makes me cry when I hear it. I was really sick for about 6 months with something they couldn't seem to diagnose and I thought I was going to die. I had a good friend thinking about divorce who was the only one who believed me and helped me. We were both lifeless souls. Just like him this song came along at the perfect time, giving me hope. I am grateful to the Crowes for giving me all of these songs and having such meaning in my life.

Well, from where I'am not only is true the fact that nobody likes The Black Crowes or Blind Melon, it is also true that nobody even knows them. The song is awsome. Chris wirtes beautiful ballads, "descending" and "thorn in my pride" are my favorites ones.

The Crowes rule. I just put Lions on last week, listened to it in its entirety, and realized what a strong record it is. I agree with Telecatplayer; they keep shifting styles, so its hard for some fans to follow. They easily move from blues rock, to hard rock, to country, and some folks want everything to sound like Hard to Handle.

your right, a big part is that the record companies want them to write the same stuff as their first two records, they kept losing contracts because of that, so pretty much they said screw it and made their own company.

Most talented bands now that are making music, Moe. / Phish/ Crowes have their own labels. Contractually good for the band, but not when it comes to the air waves.....but technology has made that an obsolete form of "getting your music out to the street"
