I think she currently works at a clothing store in China, but I think she could be a STAR!!! I love minyo and I love this song! ^^ I wish I could find more minyo like this!
@eissug I think you are mistaken. She is Chinese Korean (中国朝鲜族) - there wasn't any such thing as escape from North Korea. She was a champion of the Chinese talent contest 星光大道 and is already an upcoming star.
@ptaing8 She moved (escaped) to China from North Korea with her parents when she was young. She is singing in Korean with only a small accent compared to standard Korean. Like 오/요 sounds. She studied Korean 민요 Minyo in college in China.

@stupidlag too bad, her mom is in Seoul now. Her dad is sick and passed away last year.
She's big start in China and constantly visits her mom here in Seoul. She's plan to marry Korean husband and live happily in S.Korea.
