How do write disfunction of this magnitude? I have no idea but they found a way. Every character is messed and loveable in their own way and it somehow creates an all around dysfunctional family with characters everyone can relate too. For me I relate perfectly to Duane. And if you're like this I truly pity you, give this movie another shot and pick up Fight Club I bet you can appreciate that.

Little Miss Sunshine is actually just a knock-off of the Vacation movies. The ONLY difference is that Sunshine is less funny and does a lot of preaching.
Alan Arkin is a great actor, but he's mediocre in this. He should have won the Oscar for his role in The Heart is a Lonely Hunter (1968).
Are you joking? This movie is very flawed, but only towards the end. Overall, it's nothing compared to flicks like Taxi Driver, Pulp Fiction, The Godfather! This movie should have been great, but the script completely fell apart after (SPOILER ALERT) grampa dies. It ties you in, then lets you down.

I love this film... I just watched it for like the tenth time and it gets better. Paul Dano is really great, and Steve Carell is just amazing! This film is great, and well made, and funny, but sad at the same time. Its one of the best movies, I think, and I love it!
