The song is called 'There's a Light/Cette flamme' and it was written specifically for the 2010 Olympic Torch ceremonies by Canadian composer/performer Gregory Charles.
oh wow, I am so glad to see this was recorded! Thank you Linda for posting it. IT WAS COLD - 36C wind chill (-32.8 F) It was a wonderful experience, though. Did take about 2 hours to thaw! Wonderful memories.
What a fantastic opportunity to be part of... It was pretty inspiring to be right beside that flame that started with a spark in Greece and is making its way throughout Canada. We may have been extremely cold up there but we we so glad to be there. What a great opportunity for the Timmins Symphony Chorus!!
Haha - can I ever hear the siren on the video playback. Never even noticed it when we were singing (being so totally focused, of course).
