  • I love plasmas

  • i think oled tv are going out with the old crt tvs. I use to see oled tvs all the tv can't find them anymore at least not around where i live

  • ricanpapy27 is a dumbass

  • plasma tv sucks

  • @mickaelqc

Hey, do you game on that much? If so, did you experience any burn-in problems? I'm thinking of getting a plasma, but i've heard so many different things about burn-in that i am not sure about it.

  • First of all thanks very much for that video demo of that terrefic product,And seeing fast moving images on latest TV's here in you tube & in showroom's is very scarce.

And iam fully impressed with the image quality. No motion blur or jidder seen.

    That's a truely fentasatic product.

Iam very glad that japanese products rock even today....Thumbs up !

    Thanks,

    kris.

  • Do you have your set professionally calibrated?

  • any sighn of burn in yet,,, and can u reply man coz i have the same tv as u

  • plasma is the jam for video games

  • plasma is good for sports, movie and for a big screen, but lcd much better for games like ps3, pc and small screen.. ;-)

  • Nice looking tv.

  • Seems like you guys don't know shit about do a little more research cause what you saying is pure Bullshit non sense now technology is so much better than a few years back Plasma is the best tv' you can buy now days they are cheaper and the resolution is way much better that stupid LCD AND LED the last about 7-10 years so the question is don't tell me the you are gonna change your tv in 7-8 years i bet you are i have 2 Panasonic V10 50 inch and my Energy bill is about $35-40 dolllars a month

  • Yeah thas a nice plasma.. Aint nothin like a ps3 on a plasma.. Most of em look crispy N wet as long as you dont buy a shit brand so dont stress on who to roll with..

Just make shure that thang doin at least 720p or better, and plug up ya hdmi cable and do ya thang..

  • how many hours is it possible to play on the v10 without a break?

  • I'm on the fence of getting a Samsung LED or Panasonic Plasma.

The LED would be a 55" but I have heard it has many problems.

The Plasma would be a 65", but it'd be the S1 series. I cannot afford the better V10 or G10 series.

Both the LED and Plasma are the same price. I mainly watch sports and movies. Which one should I get?

  • plasma

  • Wat do you all prefer 42 inch insignia plasma $550 or panasonic 42 inch plasma 600

  • panasonic 600..

  • ok my be you guys can help me out i dont know what to get pla or lcd i want to wach movies and pllay games but not heat my room up so much whats the best?

  • Plasma is better in big sizes . so 42 intch plus plasma is better . its cheaper in big sizes and has better colour and contrast then lcd .

  • I've only been looking at the panasonic plasmas and they seem very good. Plasmas have higher contrast ratios, faster refresh rates, and now have life expectancies as high or higher than lcds. The 42 inch version of the tv in the video panasonic claims to have 100,000 hours compared to 60,000 hours for lcd.

  • plasmas typically have higher refresh rates which is good for games, but lcds run cooler.

  • how much did you pay for this set?

  • about 3000 canadian $ (including taxes)

  • I am SO jealous! :-)

  • At the begining i wanted a LCD TV. But i read on forums that plasma have so much qualities compared to LCD.

It's just sad that for so much people plasma is inferior to LCD...and yet, it's the contrary i think.

(sorry for my bad english, french is my first language)

  • Better believe those forums....go for plasma! Panasonic G or V series or Pioneer Kuro are the best! Got a Pana V10 myself just recently and the picture quality is amazing

  • I think plasmas have a bad reputation because at first they had short life spans and used more energy. I'm almost sure the panasonics, at least the one in the video, are energy star compliant and has a life span of 100,000 hours.

  • Plasmas gonna die out and leave the market for ever as soon as OLED TVs are ready and affordable for the masses.

But it´s right. Right now, Plasmas still have the better picture.

I wanna buy a new 50 or 52" TV the next time but I don´t fuckin know which one. The more you read on the internet the more confused you get ^^

I would immediately buy a plasma but the high electricity consumption and the still living problem of the burning don´t make an easy decision possible ^^

  • oled will be mainstream in probably 5-8 years time...my guess. Until then, a Panasonic V10 is a fine tv.

Remember kids, LCD panels are trying to catch up to the quality of Plasmas...not the other way around.

  • Yeah, but not in all cases.

Burning/image retention, power consumption, phosphor lag, flickering are things lcds haven´t any problems with.

I got a xbr8 ( "x4500" in Europe ) a month ago and I love it but it could be bigger, 46" feels already normal and not big anymore^^

  • dont forget that plasma needs a special environment for it to function well in a long period of time ... its noot good at all to pause a game for more then 3 min continuously on a plasma or you will mess up the screen ... as " far " behind the lcd technology is plasma has many things to work out since its a gas base technology .... plasmas are energy sucking tv's and have fun playing it in a well lit " natural light meaning sun " room without damaging the screen

  • @groundhabit (Sorry for responding to an old comment) I can leave call of duty paused for 15 minutes, come back and there is no IR or any hint of ghosting. All lies. I watched a 4 hour movie with the black bars on top and bottom and could BARELY notice any ghosting and it went away in 2 minutes. I have a Panasonic 58S1 plasma.

  • Other reasons for their bad reputation have(or maybe had) been low resolution, burn-in, heating, electric consumption and reflection.

  • any IR??

  • no IR at all. I play lots of games. But i don't spend all my day in front of my tv too :)

  • any problems with image retention?

did you do a break-in period with the tv?

  • Absolutely no retention problem.

I didn't do a break in time periode...i juste do not touch the professionnal mode until 150-200 hours.

  • how far away from this massive tv are u?? im looking at buying one at around 8 feet distance

  • I don't play at this short distance :) It's just to take the video...

    I am between 3-3,20 m.

  • i bought it, its best set i've ever had, beat the shit out of my philips ambilight and lg5000 lol i used to think lcd was god, looks like i saw the light

  • what settings are you using?

  • for videogames, game or vivid. Sometimes studio.

For the movies, i use studio and thx, and i modifie the black level. It's rend really good. Movie like twister, day after tomorrow, i am legend , pride and glory are exceptionnal.

  • this about does it for me..i see no trails at all here ,great picture^^

    im buying this

  • i haven't seen phosphor trail at all too in real condition, it's very nice for game.

  • I have the 42incher and can't see any phosphor trails also, I normally see things like this, like blur on LCDs, but can't see any on this TV. Love it :D

  • Nice!
