Hyper space travel would be difficult, A. you would have to deal with gravitational effects, because even as your passing suns and blackholes the gravitational effects could 1. redirect you slightly in a different flight path, 2. Rip your ship apart from gravity sheering forces.

B. You would have to plot paths around such gravitational forces which would require intense maping of the local areas you wish to jump to.
