imagine your a 16yo female who was raped and impregnated by some inbred with genetic abnormalities, would you want to give birth to that child, I wouldn't. But then there are people who use it as a type of birth control which i believe is wrong. I think its up to the person and circumstances.
Catholic priorities amaze me. They assume that everyone who chooses to get an abortion is an evil murderer, yet when we hear about Catholic priests raping and traumatizing young boys on a weekly basis, they're just proverbial "bad apples".
If you look up the definition of holocaust it means any mass slaughter or destruction of life. So using the word is very appropriate to use it isn't insensitive or uncalled for. It is a wordthag described abortion quite clearly. Just thought I'd educate people who are going to try and say things about using that word.

Abortion is not a question of women's rights as it is the killing of a human being and no one has the right to kill an innocent human being. In your logic then any woman who cannot provide for her three year old should have the option to kill her child. Human beings start at the moment of conception as a Zygote, Embryo, Fetus, Infant, Toddler, Teen, Adult... all stages of the life of a human being.

@DrunkSamurai In order to be an issue of women's rights, we would actually have to be dealing with the woman's body. The fetus is not a part of the woman's body, else it would have the same genetic code. Considering the fact that each human being is made up of a combination of the genes from two people, a fetus does not completely share the mother's genetic code.

The very fact that it is not a part of her body and is genetically incompatible with her body is why the immune system attacks the fetus in cases of RH incompatibility in pregnancy-- the immune system attacks the child if the child's blood somehow mixes with the mother's blood. It does this because the immune system recognizes that the fetus is a foreign entity, with a foreign blood type.
