There are all these horror stories about wildly fluctuating hormones, voice crackage, utter and inescapable despair, etc., etc. It would be cool to see how you handle/debunk all of that stuff.

The concern is atrophy of the scrotum, but not all SRS surgeons consider it a problem, Marci Bowers doesn't. Some say post orchi stretching can suspend atrophy. I lost one testicle recently and already have noticed shrinkage so it does happen. Anyway, what an exciting step to be liberated from T for good. Hurray!

I tried to get permission to film my chest surgery...a FAR less invasive procedure..and THEY wouldn't let me!!

Personally, I believe that having access to footage of the procedure would be a positive thing for some people.

I couldn't have watched mine until I was 100% healed tho...which is yet to happen.

Good luck with the fund raising...check out TriRRRam...he is raising heaps for his surgery by donating 20% to keep a breast, on his MySpace site! He has a vid on here about it too.

Erin! I say a video that that is informational, a pre or post orchiectomy interview with the surgeon, etc., would be OK. As for filming the surgery itself, NO Way! Please. I am afraid of two things... the exhbitionist label some people would hang on you, and the name you would select for the video itself: ("Erin Gone Nuts!" springs to mind). Genuinely, I think it would be an awful spectacle that would help or entertain nobody. Really! And I'm no squeamish prude. Really!

(and erin correct me if i'm wrong) that one of the things that erin is trying to get away from the most are all these labels we create for ourselves. fear of being put in a corner shouldn't be the reason why she does or doesn't do the video. and to call her transformation "an awful spectacle"?! well quite frankly i think that is just a horrible thing to say. maybe you aren't squeemish but you definetly are a prude.
