The video means that we're not safe even if we go to church. Church has been always involved in bad happenings for centuries, especially the catholic church.

Ex: If a murderer goes to church, he will get forgiven. But the dude he/she killed will still be dead, isn't she/he? so that's the meaning.

Going to church doesn't mean that we're securing a place in heaven.

Safety is probably in ourselves and our actions.

They lusted for power and got involved in politics for centuries which Jesus said his kingdom is no part of world. @voteboo i love how my history book has an entire chapter talking about how "the civil war totally wasn't over slavery" (spoiler alert: it was) and only a chapter about the crusades (that 200 year period of history when christianity decided that the middle east was their "holy land" by international law of "fuck off muslims"). i believe that large and very important piece of history deserves more disscusion than " yeah it happened, moving on!" thats the tennessee education system for ya.

@AlphaWolf428 Well I think its more or less the Catholic Church took advantage that the king of the Byzantine Empire needed help conquering territories so the pope told Knights all of their sins would be forgiven if they did that when in reality they took back Jerusalem and killed a lot of Muslims. And that was only the first crusade their was many of them. It depends what class you're taking idk if its your education system watch "Kingdom of Heaven" it has to do with that and its very good.
