I picked up guitar when I was 15. Tapping I learned first. FIRST. It's not hard. I'm not criticizing this kid, it's great he decided to start playing earlier than I did, but tapping as its own entity is not that hard. Tapping with multiple fingers on both hands is a challenge though. That's something I would actually suggest him to practice, because he's already got the foundation for it.

He's only being honest, it is an easy riff and age has nothing to do with how well some one can play guitar.

There's a seven year old boy out there who's writing his own opera's and piano solo's. THAT is impresive.
