@emilym12 The song is about someone who has been away from someone, that they're better off strangers since they aren't in contact with each other. In the video, the guy has been damaged and he feels isolated and excluded in life, so he doesn't interact with anyone, so he might as well be a stranger to the people around him. In the video, he takes a chance but chickens out, feeling he's better off as a stranger because he thinks it wouldn't have worked, but happy ending!
