His band, vocals, and overall songwriting sometimes overshadows his playing. That's why I was so excited to see his "One Man Band" from a couple years ago. Just a voice and a guitar. I enjoyed that very much. I currently play a Gallagher Doc Watson and a 1965 Guild F-47. I'm working on learning the intro myself, but lack of accurate tablature is a hindrance.
