  • Have you noticed? IS THE ICE MELTING FROM TOP? NO. CONC: DEICERS ARE DEICING FROM UNDERNEATH. CAOTURE CONC: DEICERS FROM DESALTERS & BUILD MORE ICEMASES.

  • The USA just needs to eliminate welfare as we know it today. Deport the illegal aliens, put the newly people off of welfare and people who are unemployed now into the new positions left vacant by illegal workers, I think we will be more able to fell proud once again to be an american and take pride in out country and ourselves. We need to stop enabling "The Government owes me" mentality and let us work the land and stop counting on everybody else.

  • If every country in the world made a 1 child per family policy, and it was respected, then maybe in a few hundred years we may save ourselves. Do people today care about that? No. Will our children care about that? No. But they will have to adapt.

  • amanzing job!

  • Beautiful!

  • 1500 hours is only two months, ever notice they never go up north in the WINTER! Always in the summer, when yes, it is melting.

  • maybe you should record Palisade glacier in ca's sierra nevada's mountains

  • How the heck can right-wingers deny it's happening. With this happening before their eyes, they're encouraging people to drive SUVs.

  • a large majority of a glacier is underwater, and we know that ice expands, therefore, when it melts, there wont be any rise in sea level. somebody should do a number crunch, i wouldn't be surprised if there would be a drop.

  • Yes, a lot of scientists HAVE crunched the numbers. And glaciers that are free floating (a small portion of few glaciers) would have no influence on sea levels were they to melt. However, the vast majority of the world's ice is on land, and that is the major concern. When that ice melts, it will affect sea levels.

  • No need for a number crunch.. you put an ice cube in your glass the water rises.

  • @WinstonWoIfe Your full of shit, glaciers are mostly on land. Read a book sometime pal.

  • love the video

  • global warming is good for Michigan : ) !

  • Its funny how people think the planet is unhealthy.

No its the life ON earth thats healthy, the earth itself is a-okay.

  • Oh, never you mind the health of the planet. When it comes to doing what needs to be done to ensure that not only the human race, but all life can survive...humans have to be the least intelligent beings out there. A truly intelligent entity would be able to coexist with the planet in harmony.

  • A couple of alternative solutions, since 10 years to change behavior globally looks exceedingly dismal...

    1) Find a way to convert salt water to fresh water economically. Maybe salt water can be a source of energy.

    2) Plant a lot more trees, however in CA, where there is a mini drought, residents are encouraged to plant succulents.

    3) Invent a weather-inducing machine device...

  • 4) Mine some gigantic ice cubes from halley's comet (the only sufficient source of ice without bugs in it) and drop them in the oceans.

  • .. and use the Planet Express ship to do it.

  • Where are we going to get an ice cube maker big enough to do that?

  • and how do we know there are no bugs in there?

  • /facepalm

  • I would have to agree its Language that is what most hear when Al Gore talks about Climate Change... Ignorance is what happen's when people just take others word for it such as Al Gore... This is a never ending part of Earth and the changes it goes does to be the Earth that it is.. Yes we humans are messing things up with Cutting down too many trees "that filter the air" and putting too much into the air that hurts BUT bottom line - THERE IS NOTHING Permanite IN LIFE BUT CHANGE > get used to it

  • With all due respect, it HAS been proven, scientifically, that the ice is changing faster as a result of human activity. The latest IPCC report, as well as the latest science revealed at the Climate Congress in Copenhagen all confirms this. The idea that the change we're seeing is just a result of normal cycles is simply an antiquated, uninformed sentiment. At this point, the science is irrefutable.

  • Explain the Ice ages then?.. It is just normal cycles, it's naive to think the planet should just be staying at a constant. What would be the argument if we were entering another ice age?? Human activity is causing the world to freeze over?

  • check your figures. yes we are in a cycle that lasts millions of years and yes we are coming into the stage at this moment in time where there will be much more CO2 levels.

However from ice core drilling we are able to see the stages of CO2 levels during each of the stages millions and millions of years ago. therefore ableing us to see this stage of the cycle has HUGE amounts more CO2 in the atmosphere than has ever been at this stage before, as jefforlowski said...the evidence is irrefutable

  • ...yet it is being refuted by more and more scientists.

  • WATCH THE TV SHOW NOVA Extreme Ice and learn that the melting and such is normal "the amount is faster due to our interaction" but this again has NOT been even proven!! they have found out that why the ice moves faster etc.. and its part of the action / reaction .. common laws of physics and how the water gets under the Massive Ice to help it move over the rocks / earth faster as more melts.. Remember this happens as earth changes ROTATION / Axis etc...

  • IMAX IT MAN

  • Just fly a metalized mylar "sail" in space, with station keeping thrusters to maintain position, to block 5% to 10% of the sun's light. That will lower the temp., and it's pretty easy to do, just calculate the distance that would be most effective in providing the most filtering. I am surprised that the jerks at NASA have not thought of this........

  • Yah, great idea. Let's block 10% of sunlight, resulting in 10% less photosynthesis, and throw off the entire natural balance of oxygen/CO2 in our atmosphere. Good idea. Stupid NASA.

  • I think that 5% would be a good starting point. Who cares if photosynthesis is 5% lower, if the average temp. can be lowered by 1 to 2 degrees F...I think this is a damned good idea...Better than any others I've heard, including yours houstoib!

  • Yah, seriously, who cares if we throw off the entire CO2, Oxygen balance. It's only the oxygen we breathe. Who needs it....as long as we're not a few degrees hotter!

Not to mention the impossibility of flying a mylar sail in an exact, maintained position around Earth which neither maintains a constant speed nor a constant orbit around the sun. We got superman to keep it in position.

By the way, what was my idea? Can't recall stating one

  • lol, wow, I guess the heating is not in just the sun dude, we trapped more heat by releasing more natural gas in the air, even if we block heat, the heat will always be trapped, and it's us human who made the problem and it is us that will be in trouble, if we block the sun, it could effect the life cycle of the organisms who lives in Earth. NASA isn't jerk for me, they had space shuttles already over there, and because they use their brains before taking an action. Peace.

  • Beats a Hultcher 35mm time lapse cam, with a poorly designed timer (NASA), installed on Heather Island, looking at Prince Willaim Sound!

  • these guys put the Oo in Cool
