Usually one can distinguish a fake from the real thing by looking at the front end, and by looking at the windshield. Originals didn't have metal trim around the glass.

That doesn't happen in this case. I do think the carbs are not tuned right, or it has a bad vacum leak for not idling
Not even close to a Porsche expert, so I definitely could be wrong, but weren't/aren't all ignitions on Porsches on the opposite side of the stick? I have seen a true 550 spyder up close, and the push start was definitely on the left where as this one is on the right of the wheel. Just curious.

This seems to be one of very few REAL 550 Spyders here on YouTube. There are so many replica videos... nothing against them (I like them, too!), but I find it quite irritating when people post a video of their replica and then try to tell the world it's a real one. How poor is that?

@ggmoneybag The metal trim is because that is the 356's windshield. Some 550 came out of assembly line already with that. Check out type550 [dot] com
