Moreover, he respected his gift by continuing to make relevant music for three decades. (FYI - Axl himself is on record saying "One" was the best song of the 90's) Bono's "appetite" has been for success and meaning, so to speak. Many people, regrettably, strike out at the examples of what they want to be (Bono) and relate to the mediocrity (Axl) they have become.
