As a hockey player myself, it didn't look like it was intentional - you can see his skates sliding out from under him before he even makes contact. I like the Sabres, but they and their fans are the biggest whiners on the league - it's alsawy someone else's fault they never win. Look at the injuries St. Louis had this year - and they still made the playoffs through determined gritty play, even with a bunch of minor leaguers.
