  • why is this car idling around 1300-1400 rpms,. there suppose to idle at 600 rpms. i think someone is covering up a normal problem with the 7m hahaha

  • I own a mk3 supra, I am very knowledgeable about them. All turbocharged engines, need a valve to relieve excess compressed air. Stock valves do not vent to the atmosphere, therefore they are called bypass valves. You are both tards for not knowing the correct term. Now go eat your pudding.

  • @mikethedick (recriculation valves) i got the bosch 110 the stock one is too small for even 6psi

  • @mikethedick Hahaha

  • no dude the guy that made the comment about in not having a blow off valve gosu101 he owns a cavi and i only suggested he get something with a little more power thus a turboed d series i own an mk3 and i said that it does have a blow off valve damn your fucking dumb

  • ohh thats a cute cavalier you have with a little K&N air filter how much boost does that thing putting out trade it in and get a real car at least a d series civic with a turbo you might be able to smell my exhaust if you keep up

  • lol ur making fun of a supra mk3 and u have a civic with like 90 horses u fuking stupid ass ricer

  • hey Gosu101 they did too have a blow off valve but is was recirculating the air back through the turbo and you are not getting straight boost if anything you will have compressor surge do you even own a car that is turbo? hmm.......... know your shit before you speak

  • hey CoryinFerndale you dumb fuck if you knew anything about supras you would know that up untill 1992 supras didnt have blow off valves dumbshit......more power cuz ur getting straight boost! learn your shit before you talk it!

  • you should have sold it to me hehe just kidding :)

  • uhbluuee you have a nice car but why dont you show us your speed of the 1988 toyota supra?do you know how to drive a car ?

  • i would, but i sold it a while back. i took this video shortly before so i could remember what it sounded like. this was a very fun car to drive and i regret selling it often.

  • non turbo.. there is no spool up or blow off.. i have a REAL turboed 88 =]

  • why would a turbo spool up in neutral?

there's minimal to no boost being built up.

you also have my permission to go fuck yourself.

  • Gee really? thank you!!

dumbass.. there is airflow going through the intake and out the exhaust.. one might say the TUrbo would spool up and spin because wow, the turbo is in between thos two pieces an an automobile, thought you should know..

mine is an automatic too, and it spools up in neutral

  • ok, it might spool up, a WEE bit. maybe it did, i dont remember. this vid is almost two years old. and you expect my 4 year old $150 digital camera and the speakers from your computer to pick that up? me either...

it will spool up way more when the car is moving and air is rushing into the intake at a much faster rate as opposed to when the car is, sitting still, in neutral!

and mine was a manual, much more fun to drive.

  • i dont care, mines got 350 rwhp, will smoke your piece of shit N/A..

dont matter the camera, you have no turbo.. show me the boost gauges, show me the blow off valve, inter cooler, and ahhh yes, the TURBO that you DONT HAVE =]

  • its been sold for 3 years, soooo no i wont show it to you. and i dont see any videos of yours. probably drive a '87 corolla

    stupid piece of shit

  • I think its a nice car, by the way...

  • yo that's actually pretty funny you mention a kouki ae86 just saw one today destroy my buddies JZA70 TT R , mind you the JZA was stock and the AE was turboed with exhaust and other possible mods and the AE only has to haul 59% of the weight the supra does.

  • do you miss it

  • @CoryinFerndale ...your flash poweder is fuckin fast man that really proves you have a turbo...wheres your vids? and go check mine...mines turbo.

  • @CoryinFerndale you sir are retarded...the only way a turbo is going to spool is if the motor is under a load...im seriously about to post a response to this. ive never built boost in neutral...ever

  • pause at 5 seconds you fucktard it marks 140 not 160. and this car is NOT turbo. wow ur such a fuckin noob! ur lieing about something thats on video...are you that retarded?

  • my bad, you got me. i accidentally typed 160 instead of 150. when you pause at 5 secs, i look and i see 140, then i look further down and see a thin small line which indicates 145, and further down, you see the last thick line which indicates 150. search for other videos of 88 supras, it doesnt let me comment with links but youll see they have the same gauges as mine, specifically look to the right and look at 0:16 on the video called 'taking the '88 supra turbo out for a ride'

    go fuck yourself.

  • change the titlte to supra idle and rev lol thn ul stop gettn these haters commenting. this does not sound neything near to my 87 2.0 twin turbo but thts over 200kw so yea. props for having a supra tho dude and do it up to drift not race

  • thats probably what i would have done, but i sold it before i did anything too major to it.

  • this isnt a turbo supra. N/A registered 140, Turbo models registered 160. i have a 87 turbo.

  • it is a turbo. and it does go to 160, the bar just isnt marked. the last one marked is 140, and two bars later is 160.

  • 89 and up n/a and turbo models registered 160..i have a 90 n/a which now has a 1jz swap in it

  • WTFLASKLHF dont do that at 1.4k you dumbass

  • fuck you mother fucker u wasted my time

  • lmfao

read the description of the video you're watching.

    that's what its for.

  • mmmm 7m :D

  • ya dude wtf are u doing, it was just started, idling at like 1400... and ur revving it all nasty.... dont make me come over there

  • if like u said in the post below it's cold, u shouldn't rev it too much until she's warmed up (and my Mk1 MR2 idles @ around 1500 when it's cold too, once it's warm it drops down to 800)

I didn't know the Turbo was out in 88, i thought they started production in 89?

  • Nope, looks like they started in 88, i can obviously say that because well...i had one.

  • turbos started in 87

  • they actually started putting the turbos in Supras in 87. It was the 86.5 models that didn't have the turbo option.

  • what a sad person, u have ur idleing speed set way to high, u only need it on like 850rmps n u got it idleing on like 1500rpm, thats fuckin pointless

  • hey dipshit

did you ever think that maybe old cars do what they want sometimes? like MAYBE when the engine is cold, it will idle higher until it warms up, and then it will return to normal? oh...ya...that could be it

  • 1250 is a good idle speed. 850 is way to low. 1500 isn bad. and only carbureted motors shoudl idle high at cold temps.

and you should never never never rev a cold motor.

  • its definitely not carb'd but it did that. and we all know sometimes you just cant resist revving to hear that sound, even if it is on a cold engine.

  • yeah i know its not carbed lol. please try to let it warm up first... its really hard on the motor:)

  • well i sold it so i dont even have a choice anymore

  • not true. all engines go through a high idle cycle. thats also why there is a open and closed loop in fuel injected engines. just a safe way to get everything to operating temps.

  • yeah you are right but he said higher than normal. it is normal for motor to idle above warm idle temp when it is cold. bad wording... i should have said, a fi motor shouldnt be idling higher than normal or something is wrong lol.

  • I love that deep sound it makes when it revs. I just got mine a few days ago and it sounded awesome like that.

  • this is pointless.
