  • link? and anyone knows how much is it? :D tnx

  • PDF = Pe-Do-File

  • she's pretty.

  • 0:29 without the weight.... of carying paper ... are you fucking retarded lady ???

  • @TheBenjy656 : i get it, the sunday edition of the post dispatch can easily weigh a lot more than 1 pound. would definitely be nicer to get it in a digital format and read it on a lightweight e-reader. so she's not retarded, in fact she's kinda hot.

  • @TheBenjy656 In other words, large volumes of books. She also mentioned laptops. Listen again before you criticize.

  • DUMP ALL THE TECHNOLOGY IN THERE!!!!!

  • it's to big. the paper or how you call it around the screen needs to get away

  • I want one!!

  • the screen is really large, but there´s still some work to do until they can display a name like "anusha nirmalalalalalanananananthan"

  • i want a big hev pice of glass

  • This, along with other similar products such as the iPad, will be screwed if digital touchscreen paper enters the market.

  • Not bad, but how about some color?

  • the ipad is better than this in a way. The screen doesn't glare as much as this one.

  • @LoginErroronu Are you kidding me, the ipad screen glares way more than e-ink!

  • i'd have sex with her

  • @gillimaster me too

  • @gillimaster I already did, she kept yapping about e ink

  • yeah - paper needs to be a flexible peper-like surface... shut down until you can do that.... actually only apple can pull it off, because they've been doing it long before you were born

  • this product is screwed after the ipad is released

  • ipad killer!

  • The Que still has too slow of a reaction time to be considered "business class"

  • Way too big!

  • go buy one of those puny e-readers then. there are tons of em you lame ass.

  • the contrast doesnt look too hot

  • She said it will be available next year and then she said January 2010 ?????? ...make up your mind woman

  • @luisfebres this was made a year ago lol

  • Time stands still for no man... This video was posted January 9, 2009. Therefore she was correct when she said 'next year, 2010'

  • this movie was posted a year ago, in CES 2009

  • Lol check the date

  • look at the date :Jan 9,2009

think before you type smart one

  • Should let you write on it and save what You wrote like that you don't have to carry oaround notebooks anymore this would be my notebook for every calss. That would be awesome=)

  • [quote] shud be color and wifi that wud be something ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ I actually kinda agree with this. Being Colored and Wifi would be great. Tho it might actually already have color, but she just didnt show it. As for Wifi, that would just be interesting. ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ Another thing is, will the Newspaper and Magazine download be free? And how much data can you store in the Digital Paper? ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ And is it possible to find books you already have to store it in?
  • shud be color and wifi. that wud be something....

  • So... Is this just a larger screen Kindle without the online support? Seems pretty lame that they're still not finished developing it considering there's VERY similar products (some of which seem better) already on the market.

Can't say this impresses me at all. It's virtual paper. I mean, the Kindle has 3G online support without any fees, so you can download books on it whenever you want. Text to speech and free Wikipedia (and Google maps I believe) access.

This is just a worse product.

  • Yeah maybe, but with the kindle you are married for life to amazon, even when you want a pdf in your kindle you need to send it first to amazon so they give you back a kindle compatible pdf. Also the plasticlogic site says that the QUE will have 3g, and the possibility to read doc, xls, pdf without having to buy them in amazon. Does kindle do that stuff? Certainly not. Besides, if you listened carefully to the video, there is no glass in the QUE reader, that makes it lighter and more resistant

  • This looks better than the kindle... I was about to go for kindle but I'll wait for this.

First no buttons, all is in the touch screen. It's like a paper page, nothing else.

Extremely tin, that really helps the paper feel. You can just let it lye around your place.

Well the kindle lost my suport the moment they took out the SD slot, and forced you to do everything from their own website.

While with another ereader you can purchase from just about anywhere, and probably amazon too.

  • Yeah, I was going for a sony psr-600, but finally I made up my mind and will wait 'till 2010 for this one, I need a bigger scree since I have a lot of pdfs. The bridgestone reader seems pretty neat too, and it would be color, but it's going to take much longer for us to see it in stores. Just a little patience...

  • is it black and white only?

  • Yes. For now.

  • The Plastic Logic has a large screen which makes it legible for reading large documents. But also it will come as a great book reader. It seems like it can change pages within one second. This is going to be so awesome. At&t partnership has just been confirmed. This will be great for the heavy amount of ebooks. Do you think it would be possible if they could crystalize the border of this device to somehow enhance peripheral vision when reading and enable one to have a photoreading experience?

  • Failed as soon as she said that you could goto their website and download.... the platform needs to be open and wireless so content can be delivered to it effortlessly. Could fit into my concept for the future of newsprint, take a look at the series here (this is part 1 of 4 so far so check all of them out as we build on the concept) at the Tunicca Premedia Blog

  • Just give it time! I wouldn't doubt tat in about 5 years time, they'll have full-blown color with a astoundingly higher refresh rate & upgradeable memory! Just imagen the potential applications behind this! You could use this for camera mounted technology were you can see everything in any spectrum from natural day & night time tones, to brightened images for vehicle windows were you don't need glass, or full-glass like hologram rooms were you cant see in, but have a full 3D view outside!

  • The screen behaves almost like a dying LCD because of the super sluggish refresh rate.

  • but unlike an LCD it uses barely any battery and is very easy on the eyes

  • i hope i they done make me get an att contract

  • I want a color one!

  • I want one, mommy can I get one?

  • NO!! NOW GET BACK IN THE CLOSET!!

  • she shuld get naked and dance like crazy!

  • now let us plug it in as our monitor

  • soon in a few years all computers and cellphones will be like this, and foldable. all wireless and wifi.

  • Every video I've seen of this, I have yet to see if there's a USB port, or a camera card port. I'd really like to know that, or if it's wifi, that's cool of course. Even so, I think extending the storage through a card would be ideal. Also having a mini jack for headphones so I could listen to the book or mp3s with it, that's cool too.

  • Same here! Anyone got a link? If you have please leave me a comment :) Thanks

  • I dont her last name is long enough

  • I'm looking forward to its release. Would like to see a full colour version as well.

  • More AP promos? How much did Plastic Logic pay you to run this pseudo-news?

  • SPA GET

    Spah gitt

  • LOL Its black and white this is the 21st century ppl.

  • battery life is still an issue...

  • It supports PDF and MS Word.

  • They say that battery life "is measured in days, not hours". Why is that an issue?

  • So you dont have the charge the device as much?

  • Im sold, im gonna buy it.

  • I would totally buy this product

  • Me too! Very cool!

  • I would totally do the model!
